In one and a half hours, JrPLEWA students and educators collected 5,298 cigarette butts around Dobbin's Landing. That means that 7.4 cigarette butts per student per minute were collected.
Through the Cigarette Butt Campaign, JrPLEWA will raise public awareness about the effects of cigarette butts on the environment by encouraging businesses to places the above sticker in their windows and cigarette butt trays on their properties.
