Managing Tasks and Task Listings
Sequencing Task Listings

Task Listings can be sequenced using a process not unlike a computer programming flowchart.  It can best be demonstrated using examples.  Refer to the examples on the next pages to determine how Duties and Tasks are sequenced.

Analyzing Tasks

Task Analysis
A Task Analysis is a detailed breakdown of job tasks;  it includes identification of procedural steps, technical and related knowledge, specialized tools and attitudes and work habits.  (Blank, Ch. 3, p. 94)

Doing one or more of the following can check the validity of your task analysis

     Perform the task yourself
Have someone else perform the task
Ask people who are knowledgeable about the task to check over the form.
Remember that you are doing the Task Analysis to identify the Enabling Objectives (the part that you actually teach) so that you can prepare lesson plans.

Refer to form linked below.   Indicate how to fill it out.
