| BIOGRAPHY OF LETHAL TROUTABOUT WARRIORS | ||||
| The Lethal Troutabout Warriors were born in mid-March of 1999. Before the addition of Randy, the third member, LTW was simply a two-piece band, with J-RO on guitar and vocals, and Ryan on drums and vocals, trying to do "Local H-style." Jaime' and Ryan have played in various bands in the four years prior to the creation of LTW, including Twist of Lemon, Pen15, and Porno John. Ryan and J-RO had troubles finding a steady bassist to fill their void, and thankfully, the Lord brought Randy to join the fold. The name "Lethal Troutabout Warriors" is a name that sounds cool to most, yet few know of its origin. Well, Troutabout was the name of Jaime's old car, a 1981 Ford Fairmont Station Wagon, that the crew took trout fishing to the Owyhees during the winter. Also, you have to understand that this car wasn't in prime condition... it had no A/C, no heater, no defrost, no power steering, bad brakes, no signal lights, and a shitty stereo. Still, Lethal Warriors sounded cool as hell, and that's how we, the band, got our name. LTW first started out in true punk fashion, by covering their favorite punk songs by the likes of Operation Ivy, the Vandals, Guttermouth, and Rancid. Once the chemistry started getting strong, LTW started making up their own songs. The first songs, "Things We Like to Do," "Firecrotch," and "Thumbs Up to You," were simplistic, yet catchy and punk at the same time. As the Troutabouts matured, they played at more places, including Salem, OR, McCall ID, and Boise ID. Shows at Bogie's for the Battle of the Bands and for the Van's Warped Tour have let the Troutabouts become more recognizable in the local music scene, or punk scene, or whatever. Nyssa, OR is quite blessed to give birth to TWO KICK ASS BANDS. Stool Pijon, which satisifies the hardcore aspect for the public, and LTW, which rocks out the punk like no other. Both of us are grateful for the super-supportive fan base, most from Nyssa, and a lot from other close towns. LTW has finished their first CD, and you can purchase it for a very cheap price! Soon, LTW hopes to have more merchandise available, so the world can be tagged with: "LETHAL TROUTABOUT WARRIORS" The Troutabout Crew was chosen by a audio production class at the Seattle Art Institute to record 4 songs for a class project, which will by pressed into vinyl. The 4-song LP will be released later in the year. It's been about 3 years since LTW was formed, and we are still trudging on. 2/3 of the band moved to Eugene, OR to start spreading the LTW Word to Western Oregon. So watch out for the Troutabout. |
