| Philippa was a lady journalist and concert pianist. She spent a lot of time in Hue and DaNang from late 66 to May of 67 when she died.She was known to visit the officers club but mostly stayed in the hospital in DaNang with civillians. She had a network of "friends" mostly with ties to the Catholic Church, who helped her a lot. She sent many dispatches that were published in the Manchester Union Leader, and also wrote a book "Good Men Die" which was published posthumously that was unfinished at the time of her death. She was bi-racial, olive skinned , had exotic eyes and often wore trasitional vietnamese clothing, she blended in with the native vietnamese.
