And if you don't agree with any of the pairings, please feel free to chew my head off! ^__^
Enchantment in Blue
by Psy
Long manicured nails drummed idly on the desktop as the slender figure draped in virgin white silk and cerulean blue lace played back his most recent composition within the confines of his cozy office. The dulcet tones of the violin accompanied by high soft piano chords and a haunting guitar line filled the room. Blue-painted lips curved into the faintest of smiles. Yes, he thought, it's just perfect.
He was preparing to get some work done, fine tune the sketches he'd drawn of several new outfits to have made for his boutique, when there was a tentative knock on his office door. With an exasperated sigh, he called out a soft "Enter" and a petite young woman stepped in. She was wringing her hands nervously, her brown eyes wide.
"What is it, Kyouko?" His voice was soft, gentle, patient but inside he was enormously perturbed at being disturbed.
She spoke quickly. "Mana-sama, there's a customer out here and ... and ... well, I don't know how to answer their questions! They're asking all sorts of questions about the materials used and how many yards and is this Irish lace!" Kyouko looked on the verge of tears. "I just haven't memorized all that yet. What should I do?"
Mana sighed and rose from his chair, straightening the lace at the hem of his knee-length skirt and fastidiously picking at an imaginary piece of lint. "Don't worry about it, Kyouko dear. I shall take care of the customer myself. I'm not angry with you," he insisted as a tear escaped the girl's eye. She thought for sure he was going to fire her. He patted her tightly clasped hands. "It isn't very often someone comes in here who obviously knows about fashion and what-have-you. Most customers don't ask these types of questions. It's quite all right. Just return to your work."
The girl let out a deep sigh of relief and beamed at him before scurrying back up front. Mana didn't usually handle customers personally. In fact, he only rarely used his office here at the store, prefering to work at home on those things that pertained to the store when he wasn't composing, recording, or performing. This had been one of those days when he'd fancied dropping by Moi Meme Moitie. He would soon be glad he had.
Standing in front of a display in the middle of the store was the most beautiful creature Mana had ever set eyes on. Blue hair, short in front and long in back, spilled around slender shoulders like a rippling waterfall. Warm brown eyes expertly lined with black and shadowed a shimmery tan scrutinized the ruffled cuffs of an ankle-length black gown with gold stitching and ivory lace. Charmingly crooked teeth chewed thoughtfully on a full lower lip painted burgundy. Legs that seemed to go on forever were encased in zebra-striped leggings and a short tight skirt the same burgundy as those sensual lips.
Mana was speechless, as well as breathless, for more than a few moments.
Nevertheless, he gathered his wits and approached the vision before him. He resisted the urge to run back into his office and check the state of his currently black hair, to fix the blue and white headpiece residing amidst the silky tresses. The tall beauty seemed to sense his approach and straightened up, turning to greet him with a crooked smile that screamed adorable and friendly eyes that twinkled with recognition. It was then that recognition dawned on Mana as well. He held out a hand gloved from fingertip to wrist in the same cerulean lace that adorned his dress, palm down.
"Konnichiwa," he greeted in a quiet voice, pleasantly toned, feeling a little thrill as his proffered hand was taken, lifted a small bit, and then let go of. "Welcome to Moi Meme Moitie. As far as I am aware of, this is the first time a celebrity has taken an interest in my boutique. It's a pleasure to meet you, Toshiya-san."
Toshiya's warm smile widened. "Please, just Toshiya. You don't have to be so formal. And I'm the one who should be saying what a pleasure it is to meet you. I had no idea that you actually spent time here."
Mana smiled ever so faintly. "Arigatou gozaimasu...Toshiya. And actually, I don't usually come here personally. Every now and then I have a whim to stop by and check on things, perhaps work a little." Mana shifted a bit in his white vinyl platforms, not quite comfortable with speaking so plainly to someone he'd just met. But there was something about Toshiya that made him feel so at ease with the young man. Maybe it was the easy smile or the soft almost musical voice. Mana couldn't say for sure. It was a mystery...and he'd always enjoyed a good mystery. "Now," he continued. "I understand you had some questions that Kyouko was unable to answer. Perhaps I can be of assistance."
"It's nothing, really," Toshiya blushed. "They weren't real questions, anyway. I mean...I know the answers to the questions I was asking her. I guess I was...testing her. I don't know. I'm sorry."
"I'm not sure I understand why you would do that."
Toshiya shrugged. "Neither am I. I was just...bored." He sighed. "Oh geez, I can't believe I'm coming off as such an immature jackass to the Mana!" He grimaced.
Mana was slightly amused, if not a bit upset that Toshiya would use such language in front of him. Normally, he'd be appalled, but there was an innate childlike quality to the man that he found innocent and refreshing. "Don't worry so, Toshiya, please. We all get bored. We just seek our entertainment in different ways. Although, in the future, I must ask you to refrain from traumatizing my employees. That poor girl was near tears," he gestured to Kyouko. "I believe she thought I was going to fire her." Mana chuckled a little as he said this.
Toshiya, too, chuckled. "You're not going to, are you?"
"Of course not," Mana replied. he eyed Toshiya contemplatively for a moment. "Contrary to popular belief, I am not a heartless ice queen. I happen to think I'm quite amiable."
With a brilliant grin, Toshiya nodded. "I think I agree with you."
The two walked about the store for at least an hour, chatting and laughing. Mana showed the young bassist some of his favorite items and, to his immense pleasure, Toshiya selected several to buy. They fell into an easy, quiet comfort with each other so quickly that Mana only hesitated a moment when Toshiya was ready to leave the store with his purchases.
"Toshiya," he laid a slim hand on the young man's arm. "Would you like to get together some evening? Perhaps for dinner or drinks. Or shopping." The last suggestion was accompanied by a small, knowing smile. Already he'd deduced that shopping was one thing Toshiya would never pass up.
"I'd love to!" Toshiya's face lit up. He'd been afraid he was going to walk out of that store and never see Mana again.
In his head, Mana heard angels sing. "Wonderful!" He reached behind the counter and pulled out a small pad of paper with the Moi Meme Moitie logo on it and wrote out the numbers where he could be reached. Toshiya took the paper from him and then wrote down his numbers. They smiled at each other and Toshiya turned to go. "Oh, Toshiya!" Mana called out.
He turned. "Nani?"
"Was it dinner, drinks, or shopping?"
"Oh." The bassist giggled. "How about all three? We can make a day of it if we're both free sometime soon."
"That sounds wonderful. I'll check my schedule and call you tomorrow," Mana promised.
"Great! Talk to you then!" Toshiya waved and disappeared out the door.

Four days later, both men readied themselves in their apartments. Mana opted for blue hair in his patented pigtails, but minimal make-up and nothing too fancy or revealing. He hated being recognized in public. He chose a pair of loose, flowy black dress pants that were pleated from mid-calf down to the ankles and a tight blue top, sleeveless with black pleated ruffles at the throat and all down the middle. He was satisfied that while he would remain stylish, not may people would recognize him. And if they did, they'd more than likely do a double take at the sight of Mana wearing pants!
As for Toshiya, he wore his own blue hair loose and had also decided on minimal make-up. While he had no problem with being recognized in public, he knew Mana didn't care for it and he had no desire to make him uncomfortable on their first date.
Toshiya paused in front of the mirror, but it wasn't to pull nervously on the billowing sleeves of his white blouse or to check the seams on his tight hip-huggers. He stared at his reflection. "Is this a date?" he asked himself.
Outside Toshiya's apartment, Mana was asking himself the same question. He wasn't sure if he had even intended for this to be a date, but, he reasoned, you didn't get butterflies in your stomach or nervous jitters if you were merely going out with a friend. Whether or not he had meant for it to be a date, for Mana it was. He just wasn't sure how Toshiya felt about it.
The door was opened almost as soon as he knocked, as though Toshiya had been standing right next to it waiting. Mana barely had time to think how radiant the younger man looked before Toshiya caught and held his eyes firmly with his own.
"Is this a date?" he demanded.
Mana blinked, decidedly taken aback at the bluntness of the question. "Well...do you want it to be a date?"
Toshiya cocked his head to the side and then nodded. "Yeah, I think I do."
"So do I," Mana confessed.
"Good!" Toshiya beamed at him and stepped out into the hall, closing his door behind him. "Then let's start our date!"

It seemed as though the fact that they had, in a roundabout way, both admitted to being attracted to one another had released a flood of need in both men. They shopped for hours, but neither really bought much nor seemed particularly interested in anything they looked at. In all honesty, they couldn't seem to look at anything but each other. If anyone did spot Mana, they wouldn't have recognized him because of the enormous grin that graced his beautiful face the entire day.
They had dinner at an outdoor restaurant and though the food was impeccable, neither really tasted it. The two men were completely wrapped up in each other. At some time, as day turned into evening, a thick sexual tension formed between them. Dinner couldn't end soon enough, but neither one wanted to suggest what they both were thinking of. There was always the possibility of misreading signs.
When dinner was finished, they took a walk through a nearby park. They sat on a park bench and said nothing. Somehow, in the last hour, their conversation had dimished until, for the last ten minutes, they hadn't said anything at all. Mana began to twist the silk handkerchief he held until he let out a loud breath and turned to Toshiya.
"Would you like to come back to my apartment for drinks?"
Toshiya nodded almost solemnly. "I'd like that very much, yes."
Mana stood and held out a hand. "Shall we?"

Mana's apaato was gorgeous and absolutely unlike anything Toshiya had ever seen. It was decorated with lots of frills and lace, antique furniture, and plush carpets. He was silent as he let Toshiya in and gestured to a delicate-framed couch that the bassist was almost afraid to sit on. He sat anyway, not wanting to be rude, while Mana poured them each a glass of sherry.
"Um...you have a beautiful place," Toshiya complimented Mana as he handed him a glass.
"Thank you."
They sat in an awkward silence, sipping the golden liquid nervously. Toshiya watched curiously as Mana took a deep breath, his slender shoulders heaving, and leaned forward to place his sherry on a glass table.
"I can't take this anymore," Mana rushed the words out and before Toshiya knew what was happening, those plump blue-painted lips were pressing insistently against his own. His eyes widened and pulled back, shocked.
"Mana!"
Mana colored prettily and turned away. "Go-gomenasai. I shouldn't have..."
"No, no!" Toshiya put a hand on Mana's knee causing the guitarist to look back over at him. "It's perfectly alright. I just...wasn't sure you wanted what I wanted."
Blue eyes bore into brown ones as passion was unveiled. "I do," Mana whispered huskily. This time Toshiya leaned forward to nibble lightly on Mana's lips. In a matter of moments clothing was shed and the two men were stumbling towards Mana's bedroom, still entwined and kissing passionately. Any thoughts of taking it slow were melted away by the fire that burned inside the both of them, fueled by a driving need to take and be taken.
Together, they fell onto the bed, Toshiya beneath Mana. Their hands roamed over each others' bodies; touching, exploring, caressing. Their erections rubbed against each other as they writhed on the bed, passion heating up their blood and thickening their breath.
Practically blind with lust, Mana retained the presence of mind to reach over Toshiya's head and pull open the drawer on a small table beside the bed, bringing out a small bottle of lube. He fumbled with the bottle, letting out a string of colorful curses in French when he couldn't get it open. Panting and in desperate need, Toshiya grabbed at the bottle and violently jerked the cap off, spilling lube all over his and Mana's hands. Toshiya dropped the bottle and the two men pounced on each other once more. Mana grasped Toshiya's hardened length and Toshiya responded in kind. They slid their hands up and down the twitching, aching flesh, slicking lubricant as they went along.
"Seme or uke?" Mana asked breathlessly.
"I don't care!" Toshiya cried desperately, losing his grip on the penis in his hand and letting out a small cry of protest as Mana let go of his own. Mana moved back as soon as the words passed Toshiya's lips, taking the initiative and nudging the taller man urgently. Toshiya parted his legs as wide as he could, bending them at the knees and pulling them up. Mana paused for only a second as he positioned himself in front of Toshiya's opening and then he drove himself in with one quick, fluid movement that had the younger man screaming out as a mixture of pleasure and pain knifed through him.
Toshiya recovered quickly and began rocking in time to Mana's thrusts, clenching his muscles tightly around Mana's erection as he moved in and out. Their moans filled the room with the erotic music of sex. Once more their hands roamed and caressed until practically every inch of them was slick with sweat and lubrication. Mana's caresses soon centered around Toshiya's arousal, light feathery touches that never reached his straining member and were swiftly driving him crazy.
"Onegai, Mana-sama!" Toshiya groaned and arched up.
A small smile stretched Mana's lips. He stopped moving, which caused Toshiya to whip his head up as far as he could, his eyes pleading with him to continue. Instead Mana ran a nail lightly across the head of Toshiya's penis, gathering the pre-cum that formed in the eye. An intense shudder ripped through Toshiya's long, lean body and he whimpered with his need for release. The whimper sent a ripple of lust through Mana and he could no longer contain himself. Wrapping his slender, manicured fingers around Toshiya's shaft he began pistoning into the tight, warm cavern of his body once more while he stroked the hard pillar of flesh in his grasp. Beneath him, Toshiya's head thrashed wildly and his hips bucked. Mana threw his head back as he felt his orgasm wash through him and a cry of pleasure tore out of his throat. As if that was his cue, Toshiya followed suit, coming all over his flat belly and Mana's hand.
For the next few minutes they simply lay wrapped up in each other, catching their breath and basking in the afterglow of sex. Toshiya glanced up at a clock and, seeing the time, disentangled himself from Mana. Mana made a small sound of protestation.
"I have to get going," Toshiya apologized, following the trail of clothing out the bedroom and back into the living room, picking up those articles that belonged to him and dressing. "I have an early rehearsal and Kaoru can be a real asshole if you're late."
Mana nodded, flushing a little as he thought of what a hard time he had given the other members of Malice Mizer whenever they were unwise enough to be late for rehearsal. He walked Toshiya to the door, leaning against the doorjamb.
"I'll call," Toshiya promised. "Or you can."
"We'll see how it works out," Mana replied.
Toshiya grinned and, taking Mana's hand, bowed and kissed it. "It was an enchanting evening."
Mana chuckled lightly and watched him go. "It certainly was," he whispered to himself.
