Misfortunate..what kind of misfortunate has been take place in this castle? Tetsu wondered. Glancing over the bleak walls around him. A sense of insufferable gloom pervaded his spirit, as if the castle itself had its own will and power to affect human's emotion.
It wasn't a place for mortal to stay.
The castle was home of immortal creatures.
Soon after the butler's leave, leaving only the aura of silence with the blonde. Tetsu heard a childish rhythm that failed to suit into the gloomy atmosphere of the castle.
There was not a single soul on the hallway, the whole place seemed asleep . He followed the tiny voice which guiding him to the end of the hallway. There was a heavy iron gate at the end of the corridor. He opened the gate carefully without making any noise; there was a dark narrow stairs behind the gate.where did it lead? Perhaps to the [dungeon] that Count Okano had mentioned before?
He stepped down the stairs, walking along the dark narrow hallway carefully until he reached to the end of the hallway. There was a jail.in Tetsu's opinion, this dungeon was miserable enough to be called as a jail. High above the wets stonewall was a single narrow window, too narrow to let very much daylight in.
Upon the iron gate there was only a small barred window on the door which allowing people outside to spy into the dungeon. Tetesu took one more step forward to gaze into the dungeon thought the barred small window. He saw a huge candle sat on the floor, and thought its faintly flicking yellow light he could see a lot of toys and dolls placing all around the room everywhere.
And there was a lonely thin shadow sitting against the wall, the candlelight's halo outlining his slim figure. He sat still there soundlessly, listened to the music box's melody.
Then all of a sudden, the music box was closed. "Who is there? Izam or Doctor?" The person inside the dungeon seemed to realize someone was there with him.so he stood up and walked toward the gate. The voice was so familiar to Tetsu.it was Yukki's for sure!
After his eyes gave more used to the vague candlelight, Tetsu now realized Yukki was staring him back thought the barred window. But unlike yesterday, now the boy was dressing in male's outfit, pure white shirt and pair of black trousers, a silken black ribbon tied his long hair back. If he wasn't be locked up in this gloomy dungeon, he would just have the same as all ordinary noble young boys among the country.
"Yukki!" Tetsu called out softly to the younger man. he.Count Okano really did lock his own son in that gloomy dungeon.it was just too unimaginable!
"Who're you?" Yukki blinked to the blonde out of curiousness
"It's me Tetsu! The one whom you met in the forest."
"Tetsu..who?" The boy stared at the blonde as if into a deep thought for a long moment before he started to speak again. " .I think I remember this now! You're the one Yukki'd met yesterday!"
".Hay?" Tetsu couldn't understand why Yukki talked about himself as if he was mentioning another person, not him?
"Like to meet you! But I'm Ken.not Yukki.please don't make mistake again, ne? He really.uh.likes you." Yu...incorrect.Ken talked to the blonde in a clear, sensible tone, he introduced himself to Tetsu as if the two of them really were the tow strangers who had just met a minutes before. He didn't have Yukki's girlish tone within his tone, but a fine care voice which belonging to a teenager.
Double personalities.
These words made their way into Tetsu's mind immediately. It seemed that there were two personalities within the boy's body. One of them was the girlish [Yukki], and the other one was the ordinary teenager [Ken]? These two personalities would exchange from time to time?
While Tetsu was buying himself with thinking, the boy had held on his breath, listening very carefully to the faintly sound which coming closer from the other end of the hallway.
"Someone was there! Just outside the gate!" Then he spoke to Tetsu nervously.
In fact there were some footsteps coming from the outside. For that Tetsu couldn't help break into a chill swear.
"You can't stay here! Someone's coming!"
"Press the carving panel on your left hand side!" Tetsu did what he was told. Then part of the stonewall moved aside and gave way for a hiding trap door..
Meanwhile, the footsteps went even closer now.Ken said." Quick! Go there! Don't let anyone see you!"
"Hai, be careful yourself too." Knowing well enough that no one was supposed to be with the boy there in that minute, Tetsu passed through the trap door without too much hesitation before the trap door closed silently again behind.
Rushing through the darkness, he tripped and grazed his knees, for a several times as he ran deeper and deeper within the narrow tunnel. And when he reached to the other end of the tunnel, Tetsu pushed another trap door open then found himself back into the same room where the blue hair butler had guided him to entrance.
Then just after the moment Tetsu made himself to the room again. The front door opened again. "Sorry to keep you waiting." The butler stepped into the room, and claimed that now his Master was free to meet him finally. "Please come with me."
As the blonde followed the butler to the chamber, Tetsu couldn't stop wondering did he really enter into the dark dungeon and meet the boy---Ken in reality? The whole scene now seemed so surreal.all the things seemed so unreal..the more Tetsu thought, the more confused he got.
And It felt so surreal too..Tetsu found himself starting to lose his sense within this world. This surreal mysterious twilight zone within The Castle of Vampire.
