Things didn't get much better as the day wore on. Kyo and Toshiya both slept until late in the afternoon. Die laid dow on the couch with an ice pack over his eye, complaining. Well he had complained until Shinya offered to give him a matching set if he didn't shut up. Kaoru slinked back to his room to avoid similar treatment.
This carried on for several days and practices and Kyo started to realize they needed to do something to fix the problems. It was too tense now. Die was sulking but he did seem to be feeling guilty after watching Toshiya all afternoon from his couch position that first tense day. Kaoru had adopted a rather un leader like attitude, deferring to Shinya and Kyo. They were too angry to treat the others normally.
Kyo seemed to be the only one able to keep a analytical mind about the whole thing. Shinya was too wrapped up in helping keep Toshiya's spirits up when being around the other two seemed to be too much for him.
*We have to do something to heal this or Dir's going to be ruined. We can't keep things up like this. What can we do though? We never get a chance to be apart enough for this to heal.*
They could all move out into separate apartments but they could hardly afford it. The tours Had been going splendidly but so far nothing had been offered in the way of record deals or anything. They'd Just gotten out of the sharing a bowel of ramen for dinner stage!
He worried about this for a week, watching as the band got more distant. The bassist and drummer on one side and the guitarists on the other. Of course he was in the middle again. He'd known Kaoru and Die longer and KNEW they were complete dolts in relationships. In anything other then music really. If Toshiya could Just calm down enough for them to apologize it just might work!
But they couldn't....

Shinya nodded as Toshiya babbled about this and that and everything. The day had dawned clear as a bell so Toshiya insisted o dragging him out of the house, into the below freezing weather to walk in the sun lit snow. With no cars and barely any people it was very peaceful. Except for Toshiya's chattering.
"...And then she went as far as to put a live toad in my bed so of course i HAD to do something worse back, so then...." Toshiya said while grinning, animated and happy about getting out of the apartment.
*Kyo is right we just need to get him away from everything for awhile. He's resilient and will recover for sure. *
Sighing Shinya ignored that useless train of thought. There was never enough money for that.
So instead he focused on Toshiya again. He had no interest in the snow covered streets. The young man beside him was fifty times for interesting. He wondered if Toshiya knew about that aura of energy he had that drew you too him. Happy go lucky (ashna: i's so eeasy, happy go-o luckie-e-e, we arl the worrrrldooooh!!! Something something Q Q Q Q US US US U.... YATTA!!! *Cough* back to the fic*) to the point where you couldn't help but grin back.
"Shinya?" Toshiya had stopped walking and was looking at him strangely. "Do I have something on my face or something?"
Shinya blinked and realized he'd been starring. Blushing horribly he looked away quickly at something else, berating himself for being an idiot.
"I-iie, Toshiya-kun. I was just thinking. Sorry for not paying attention." He answered sure he was blushing even redder, hopping his hair hid his face.
"Oh..."
Then to his great surprise, not that he was complaining, Toshiya reached out his hand and turned his face towards him. He looked for a moment into Shinya's startled eyes then grinned.
"Oh... Well this is just fine..." Toshiya grinned then leaned forward to lightly kiss Shinya on the lips.
"Just fine indeed." He giggled kissing the tip of Shinya's nose before the drummer could react, then racing off back towards the apartment.
Shinya blinked in confusion and wondered what just happened.

Toshiya ignored a startled Kyo and Kaoru bringing in groceries and raced into his room, okay Kyo and Shinya's room. He'd slept there for the last three weeks. He dived under the covers and lay panting with the lights off for awhile. Eyes wide he couldn't BELIEVE he'd done that! Oh sure he'd Wanted to but STILL!! One just didn't go kissing your friends off stage! Okay Kaoru and Die had but this was different! He'd been able to Tell what Shinya had been thinking, right? He knew he liked Shinya but was he right that Shinya liked him? Was he just over reacting towards Shinya acting the protector and getting all infatuated?
"AAAAAAAAAAH I DON'T KNOW!!!!"
Pulling the blankets tighly around him and pressing his face into the pillow he tried to get a hold of his emotions. That's of course when Kyo opened the door to see what the screaming had been about. All he could see was a large lump under the blankets. Where was Toshiya? Oh yes, that's his ass sticking up in the air like that... Wtf?
"Toshiya? What in the world are you doing?" Kyo asked sliding into the room more.
Toshiya squeeked in surprise and sat up quickly, throwing the blankets off and flipping around so he could see who'd spoken. His hair was all staticy and sticking up everywhere and his eyes large in the low light. He looked like a startled kitten.
"Aaaah!.. Oh Kyo it's it YOU! Just you. Okay yeah that's good." Toshiya babbled still looking half wild.
"Uh... Totchi... Are you.. Feeling okay?" Kyo asked concerned. He knew Toshiya was excitable sometimes but this was just silly.
"Huh? Oh yeah um fine I guess I dunno maybe considering but I dunno I think he's going to kill me I shouldn't have done that but I wanted to though he wanted me too but now I'm not so sure and now I'm worried but excited cuz what if he DID want me too but I think he's going to kill me Kyodoyouthinkshinyawillkillmeforkissinghim?" The lst came out so quickly it took Kyo a full five minutes to get it all sorted out.

"Oh geez, look when you get this sorted out just DON'T do anything while I'm in the room Okay?" Kyo half groaned before walking out again.

Heehee okay short chapter again but I thought it was a good place to end it. More stuff and crap will happen next
