When I Think Of You
Father, when I think of You mercifully dying for me,
I am reminded of the most amazing love,
Coming back to You Lord, was the key,
I'm so sorry for all  I've ever done.

The times I've made You hurt and weep,
Like children tend to do with their parents,
I am reminded of the promises You keep,
And Your mercy that is so apparent.

I had a miserable life before You called me home,
And I will never again lose my relationship with You,
I will not again live in the dreadful "unknown",
I desire Your love and the job You'd have me to do.

You've carried me through so much that I can now see,
If only then I would've opened my eyes and walked in the light,
But I was so caught up in selfishness, pride and greed,
That I couldn't see it was those very things impairing my sight.

It's not hidden from those of us who want it,
Only to those who don't seek change or believe,
I never again want to live with the regret,
That I allowed my eyes to be blinded, and You I did not see.

When I think of You Lord, I am happy to proclaim,
That not only are You my Savior, but You are also my best friend again!
You are there in my times of distress and need,
And I pray You will use me Lord, to plant that one seed.

When I think of You Lord, I realize I am in myself a miracle born of You,
And the distance I've come, I'm convinced there's nothing You can't do,
From healing the sick, oppressed and the broken-spirited,
On You and Your wonders, I am forever riveted!
