Thought for the Day
1 Thessalonians 4:11-14

11: that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.
12: that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.
13: But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as those who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

Verses 11 and 12 we  are given just a few tips from God's unfailing Word gives us on how to live our lives. When we lose a loved one, we see it as that they are simply gone and not coming back. But when we open our spiritual eyes to God's promises, we see that they are sleeping in Christ. To us, it is hard to let go of a loved one because we tend to be earthly minded. To God, the flesh is nothing. He will make us new bodies. It is the soul that He is concerned about. Don't get me wrong, He knows the thoughts, feelings and temptations we all face, for He Himself came here in the flesh and endured what we ourselves have had to endure. But He also gives us answers to our problems and directions on  how to live so that we may someday see Him and our loved ones again. Many of our loved ones are in a better place and even through our sorrow  of loss of them in the flesh, we should find that still-small voice which says to us, "They are home now, and I am taking good care of them. Do not worry, if you follow what is right, you will be reunited with them once again." So, we will get to see our loved ones again!! This is a reason to rejoice as they have not been taken from us forever!

God Bless!!
