2 cans (16 oz each) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed 1 1/2 cups water 2 bottles (32 oz each) cranberry juice coktail, chilled 4 cans (12 oz each) ginger ale, chilled Ice Ring (see below)
Mix lemonade concentrate and water in large pitcher. Stir in cranberry juice coktail. Just before serving, stir in ginger ale. Pour into large punch bowl. Add ice ring.
Ice Ring: Fill a ring mold or a bundt cake pan with crushed ice. (Make sure the mold you use is smaller than your punch bowl). Cut different fruits of your choice into 1/4 inch slices; arrange in the ice so that the fruit sticks up above the top of the ring mold. You can also cut orange peel into star shapes with a tiny cookie cutter. Freeze the mold for 15 minutes, then slowly add cold water or fruit juice to fill the mold. Freeze the mold overnight. When you're ready to serve the punch, run hot water over bottom of the mold to loosen the ice ring, and float it in the punch. Or using the same technique, you can use muffin cups to make floating ice discs--which take less time to freeze.
A different touch: Make ice cubes with juice instead of water. This will not dilute the punch. |
