| Can You Stand To Be Blessed? | |||||||
| 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay that that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. God is establishing patience, character, concentration in the school of "nothing seems to be happening." Take the class, it's working for your good. ***God is a builder of men and builds our foundations. Once God builds the man/woman then the ministry/blessing comes out.*** Woe unto the man whose ministry becomes bigger than he is. Stop trying to get God to make Him do what He knows you are not ready to endure or receive. Success is the reward that God gives to the diligent who through perserverance obtain the promise. Can you stand to be blessed? With every blessing there is an additional responsibility. Everything God gives you requires maintenance. There is a requirement to every blessing. (You have to do something to receive this blessing.) Luke 14:28-30 'For which of you, intended to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it--lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, "This man began to build and was not able to finish.' Two things you need to ask yourself: 1. Are you willing to pay the price to get the blessing? 2. Are you willing to endure criticism and the ridicule that comes with success? Matthew 25:23 His lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' Lord change me until this doesn't hurt anymore. ***Pray like David did. Go to the secret place everyday. Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavillion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. Final Thought; Genesis 4:6-7 So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And it's desire is for you, but you should rule over it." By Debbie Lewis, 12-15-04 |
