| Atomic ATV aka Simmons Racing Products aka Kerry Simmons After receiving close to 100 E-Mails concerning Kerry Simmons, from people who have either have been ripped off by him, or who are looking to avoid being ripped off, I decided to post this page to set the record straight. I originally found Simmon's website in late 2000, and was pretty impressed with what I saw. I exchanged e-mails with him for six months, asking many questions, and getting all the "right" answers. I then purchased a Sundiro ATV, based upon the fact that he could supply me with all the performance parts to make it one of his 47 MPH, 15 HP machines he boasts of. After receiving the quad, I purchased approximately $1200 worth of parts from Simmons in early February of 2001. I was told at the time that it would be about a week to put together my order, and even though our first race was six weeks away, not to worry, we would be up and running long before that. After two weeks I started to get worried, and placed a call. Not to worry, right on schedule. To make a long, long story short, it took 8 weeks, and 10 phone calls before it came (missed two races). After being professionally installed by an E-Ton dealer, more modifications were needed that Simmons forgot to mention. His 47 MPH / 15 HP turned out to be 25 MPH and 6 HP in reality. I was offered a full refund, only after I had the shop disassemble the engine, and ship all the parts back, fair enough. Not to drag this story out, but the refund never came. I logged close to 65 calls to Simmons, and always got a different story. He finally quit answering his many different phone numbers if he saw my area code come up on his caller ID. I contacted the Better Business Burea in his area, and Simmons refused to talk to them. I then contacted the Virginia Attorney General who started an investigation. Simmons agreed to send the refund, but of course didn't. A lawsuit was filed, and two days before I was to travel to Virginia for the court date, Simmons contacted me for an out-of-court settlement. To date, I have heard from close to fifty people who have went through the same scenario with him. All I can say, is I have never met a person as dishonest in my entire life. You know he's lying if his lips are moving. I won't even bring up the fact that he totally rips off people with his prices. Example: He buys KPII's pipe for $69, sells it as his "own special pipe" for $225. This is the short, unabridged version of the story, but believe me, you don't won't to have to deal with what I went through. Hope I saved you a big headache. Wish someone had done the same for me.
