I left home at 12: 45 in the afternoon on Thursday the 27th of October, 2005 for Simcoe, Ontario. The town had come to mind about a week before and I had only been there once before. On the way, just past a little town named Courtland, something caught my attention on a hill side. Trees were down, tobacco kilns were smashed to bits, it looked like a tornado had just passed though a few days before. There was total destruction in the field but there amidst it all (the only thing left standing at the one end) stood a billboard in the shape of an open Bible. It read Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners It looked so cool that I had to turn around and get some pictures.
Anyway, I continued on and arrived in Simcoe around 2:00 and immediately began to distribute tracts and attempt
to initiate conversations with the people I met. It seemed that the conversations that I had for the most part were in the two extremes of what seemed to be profitable and what was obviously rejected. Many people were very receptive but on the other hand many were quite belligerent, I also received many dirty looks during my time there. People seem to hate the idea of someone testifying of God's grace.
But there were many talks (mostly quick ones) that seemed to get the point across.

One young teenage couple with a baby in a stroller said that they had just prayed to receive Christ not long before. Their names were Ken and Safire. They now attend a United Church there in Simcoe. I challenged them to get into their Bibles and continued on my way.
One of the last people that I talked to was a young Asian man named Ashley. It was a very difficult conversation and left me rather disturbed. He said that his parents had never taught him not to do anything, they just let him decide for himself. When questioned about morality he said that he makes his own rules and ultimately that he is his own god. He also said that the Holocaust was a good thing and that murder, rape and destruction were all acceptable under certain circumstances. He had completely rejected any possibility for a Being higher than himself who would hold him accountable. The disturbing thing is that this mind set is growing in Canada as parents continue to refuse to teach their children right from wrong. It is the result of a Godless society bent on selfishness and corruption. May God have mercy on this wicked land.

And last of all I encountered a Spanish man who spoke no English at all. He seemed to want to talk but we were unable to establish much other than that he has a Catholic Bible. This is to my shame as I have been studying Spanish for the last year or so because I come across Spanish speaking people from time to time. Over the last several months I have slacked off on my studies and this conversation definitely showed it. If I had continued with them I may have been able to help a bit more. I guess Ill just have to take it as a manifest rebuke for my inconsistency.

I pray the Lord will bless the efforts in Simcoe Ontario, despite the apparent difficulties.
