| Evangelistic Journey #2 Sheden, Ontario Aug. 8, 2004 Joshua, Lori, William and Jordan Robinson Sheden ON. Population: 1000? Contacts: None. We left at about 3:30 PM for Sheden and decided to drop off pamphlets in mailboxes on the way. Just as we entered the small village (which apparently holds the prestigious title of The Rhubarb Capital of Canada) we ran completely out of tracts so we had to turn around and go get some more. When we returned we parked the car and began dropping off our literature in mailboxes. We didnt see too many people, the town was very quiet but the few that we did see were for the most part friendly. The little town has two united Churches, and one of them has a woman preacher. All together not too much happened except that we were able to distribute approximately 100 tracts or pamphlets in and approaching the town. Though it may not seem like much, each and every one of those that we distributed has the message of salvation and each person that reads them is another soul who needs the Lord. Oh that all who read them would be saved and that the Lord would glorify His name though these efforts. Amen. |
