In 2003 I began to see a need for the spread of the gospel in my city, St. Thomas Ontario. I was already actively involved in personal evangelism but I wanted to do more. My hope was to write and print gospel tracts and pamphlets. I prayed and the Lord provided the means and thus I began the work. I wrote a few tracts and then started distributing them in mailboxs, in laundromats and to people as I encountered them. Given time the work took on a more confontational note as I started to engage people in conversations on the street. I also started taking short evangelistic journeys to different towns in SouthWestern Ontario with my family and also alone. At this time I knew of no one in my area who had a real and biblical desire for winning the lost. I felt somewhat alone and asked the Lord for someone of like mind. Around this time I met my dear friend Trent who was a great help and encouragement to me as he was already quite experienced at this sort of thing, having begun an evangelistic ministry a year or two before. We now work together quite a bit, and I greatly value our true fellowship in the gospel. |

Over the last few years I have been greatly impressed by answers to prayer. Time and time again the Lord has provided in such a way as to let me know I can move ahead and trust Him. Many times my wife and I have brought our needs to Him alone and without having let anyone know but God, He has provided. This is our great Saviour who gives us the work and then gives us all that is needed to complete it, including the very Strength by the which we are made to stand. Praise the Lord! |

Lately the Lord has made it possible for me to put much time into this ministry. It now consists of tract writting, printing and distribution, one on one evangelism, visitation, discipleship, street evangelism and short evangelistic journeys to other cities throughout Southwestern Ontario. A weekly Bible study has developed in my home for the purpose of the edification of the saints, the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ and mostly for the glorification of Him who is worthy of all glory and honour and praise. |

As time has gone on I have become more and more pressed by the great need in this country. With a Church on almost every corner and the majority professing Christ we simply do not see the fruits thereof. At least 90% of the people that I talk to on the street have not heard a biblical presentation of the gospel of Christ and far fewer yet have trusted in the Lord. All have heard His name and yet so few know what He has done especially among the younger crowd. This is to our shame! There is a great need in our nation to return to the biblical model of evangelism. Though Church programs and invitations for people to come in to hear the gospel are not wrong, when we regard them as the only or even as the primary means for preaching then we have left the clear biblical patern and the effect is that those who do not or will not go to Church have not heard the message we were comanded to give them. So let's go into the world and preach the gospel, making disciples as our Lord commanded. There are millions here who have not heard, and their blood is on our hands! |
