This is yep, SMBDX, the GBC game that clearly states the main plot mostly in Mario games. But not all of the Mario Games, of course. I do think players might get a little sick with that kind of trend, but this game is rather more unique than the original with all its add-ons and bonuses. Including the Versus Mode! Anyway, the original game starts with 3 save warp pipes that will contain your file and progress as you play. You have to go through a long line of 8-4 world maps. Each 4th stage of a world (except the 8th world map), you will enter a castle and face the King Koopa and as always, there's always a stupid Mushroom Guy at the end that tells you that the so-called princess is in another castle though only the 7-4th mushroom guy told the truth. Another plus, when you rescue Toads (you know, the Mushroom guys) you can meet each one you rescued at the Toy Box section of the game. They show you pictures, and uh... etc. stuff. The Princess will give you different title screens when you rescue her. The Toy Box also has an album thingie where you can place a note under a picture of a Mario thing. Second one, is the Fortune-teller which tells you if you're lucky or not. The third one is the room where the Toads and the Princess will stay after rescuing them, didn't I say that already? You can also play stages and earn those red or blue coins. To end the review, I would just like to say that this game is a success and that it scored high as one of the great Mario in GBC games! --Review by Jr.Luigi |
