The Ivanel Academy
for   INDIVIDUAL  ATHLETICS, ARTS &  ACADEMICS
The Ivanel Academy, a cozy woodland school, is designed for high-school-age girls with outstanding skills (or the proven potential for such) in either Individual Arts or Athletics, with a better-than-average aptitude or motivation for high Academic grades.  Full scholarships will be offered to recommended girls from the inner "geo"cities and any of our Native Canadian Reservations.  Besides the regular Ontario curriculum, the Academy offers Artists their theory and practicum classes in any of the following: sketching,  painting,  sculpting,  pottery, carving,   vocal and instrumental music,   all types of dance and  theatre arts.
If a student is more Athletically-inclined, the school coaches regularly in the following disciplines:
English Riding
(hunter/jumper, dressage and eventing), Golf,   Figure Skating,   Tennis,   Gymnastics,   Archery,   Cross-Country Running & Skiing,   Cycling,  &  Swimming.
A highlight of the Academy is the richness of our surrounding environment and courses are also taught in:
Orienteering and Wilderness Skills, "Pioneer Power", Antique Appreciation and Crafts, and Traditional Agriculture and "living off the land" techniques. This ensures that neither the beauty of our natural world, nor the historical craftsmanship and customs of our ancestors will be lost in this modern age of commercialism and high technology.         At the Ivanel Academy, "tradition is indeed OUR tradition".
Academics, the Arts, and Individual Athletics,
set in an environment of natural surroundings in order to appreciate Mother Nature, her flora and fauna, her foundations and her flawless beauty
are the principles supporting "Ivanel."
above, Academy founder, Julie Johnson  has taught in the inner- city of Leeds, England and on a Blackfeet reservation in Montana, as well as two private schools in the U.S.A. and  a  high school in the    theatre     capital of North America: Stratford, Ontario
left, and right, Joy Cehovin,
