Link is a youth from Ordon Village. The other village kids look up to him. He was born with a birthmark on his left hand, signifying his destiny as the Hero who was chosen by the Goddesses (Most overused phrase in TP). When entering the Twilight Realm, rather than turn into a spirit, he is transformed into a wolf. After meeting Midna, he agrees to do whatever Midna says in return for her helping him.
