The top of Mount Kosciusko, the highest point in Australia (7,310 ft - 2,228 m) is located in SE New South Wales, Australia. The trip up the mountain was excellent using a chair lift from Thredbo up to Crackenback and then walking up an excellently maintained trail. Surprisingly enough snow and ice remain at the top of Kosciusko most of the year round.

Daniel standing on thin ice

Nice sheet of ice

There is fantastic country up here

All the rocks were covered in ice. Not a good place to slip

The peak is just behind us.
