“…a pleasant little game.  It provides enough optional or advanced material to keep it interesting from game to game…although I don’t think it will ever become a fan favorite or gain a cult following the way games such as Ogre have.”

-Aaron Allston*, in his review of the first edition boxed set.  Space Gamer, issue #75, July/August 1985

Welcome to Jeff’s BattleTech Page

Scenario 1: Resevoir Raid.  This scenario was built for use with the second edition BattleTech boxed set.  It uses the old “unseen” mechs and the original two mapsheets.  No attempt has been made to keep the background information canonical.  I hope you get some use out of it.

Excerpts from “Battledroids Variants”.  George MacDonald’s article “Battledroids Variants” first appeared in the July/August ’85 issue of Space Gamer magazine.  I have excerpted parts of this article because it both highlights an earlier period in BattleTech gaming and I believe the article presents material that could still prove useful to some BattleTech gamers today.

*I do not mock Aaron Allston by quoting his ill-fated prediction.  I have nothing but respect for Mr. Allston, especially since he is the author of Strike Force, one of the greatest rpg supplements ever written.  Rather, I gently smile at the fact that even a gaming guru like Mr. Allston occasionally gets one wrong.
