School Types

With 1300 pupils in a 900 pupil school, one wonders how anyone was
so foolish as to name man "homo sapiens". However, that is not the
subject of this discourse. I shall attempt to catalogue the various
types of methods used by our species to traverse the corridors of this
sardine can.
	1) GARGANTUA- 6'6, 310 lbs.
			- known with affection at police station as the most
likely to be a top Mafia capo.
			- marches through halls, seldom has to push as people
aren't going to get in his way and he knows it.
			-fortunately rather rare.
	2) REMORA - named for fish that follows sharks (this fish follows
			Gargantua
			- moves freely in temporary gaps made by Gargantua and
			continues in this manner
	3) FERRET - small but nimble
 			- ducks and dodges and runs through halls
			- often effects of passing are uncertain
			- synonym- will o 'wisp, feux follets
	4) EEL - origin unknown, probably an older ferret
			- slips and oozes around people into brief gaps
	5) MATADOR - often seen trying to get through line to class on
other side--often seen not trying too hard.
			- special characteristics--placing of book in front of
body to create passage way. When this fails it gracefully executes a
half swirl with great finesse, at the same time gringing books to side.
	6) TACKER - named for L1pwind sailing manouver
			- travels through corridors from one side to another,
thereby not becoming discouraged by setting large goals. (see fig 1-1-6)
	7) PLODDER - most common of varieties, resembles cattle in
			general makeup.
			- travels same speed and same direction as everyone
			else.
	8) BUFFER - exceedingly popular, hard to miss.
			- always accompanied by entourage of which he is center,
thereby creating a relatively push-free envirenment for himself.
	9) TEACHER - special characteristic -- up the down stair case.
			- acts arbitrarily, decision based on variety of special
considered but usually acts to provide clearage for own variety.
			- also eliminates both harmful and harmless activities
of other varieties indiscriminately. (exception, Gergantua)
			- individual members reffered to by colourful
			synonyms.
