Editorial Policy 1968-1969 "A picture is worth a thousand words" We hope that the caricature on the front-page outlines the Rennigade's policy for this year. We intended to try anything logical at least once. This is the beginning of a series of monthly caricatures entitled "the Many Faces of John Rennie." Each month will feature a teacher or administrator. October's Rennigade does not contain too many articles by J. R. students and we hope that next month's will have more. Compositions can be submitted to D. MacKay H.R. 416 and V. Lazdins H.R. 420. The editors have been asked to define the Rennigade. Is it a paper or magazine? In this question, the important issue has been overlooked. The most prominent concern of the Rennigade is to provide a place for readers and writers to voice their ideas, and this it shall do. This year the Rennigade will be published monthly. This may seem to be a brash statement 1n view of last year's Rennigade but we shall try to disappo1nt the skeptics. This month well-earned thanks go the the writers, who produced excellent work on very short notice; the production staff who turned out countless copies; Mrs Swan and Mr. Lawson for their experienced assistance; and to John Rennie for supplying the necessart paper. D. MacKay and V. Lazdins This space was formally reserved for a few words from the President of the years's Student's counc1ll regarding its future plans. The President, Bruce McNiven, was elected on a reform platform and we, the editors, feel that it is his duty ( and a common courtesy) to enlighten his supporters. After successive and futile importuning, he has failed to submit a report on this year's activities, thus snubbing his most important obligation: ie., being the leader and voice of the student body. We sincerely hope that his frivolous and unconcerned attitude on his part does not reflect, in any way the efficiency of this year's Student's Council The Editors D. MacKay and V. Lazdins
