Girl's Sports -Diane Nemer Interschool Badminton- --------------------- The interschool baadminton tournament will be held on November 5th for the Junuors and November 7th for the Seniors. The coach is Mrs. Tibbits. The Junior team (singles) is comprised of Sue Pollock and Jill Quirk. The doubles team is made up of: 1) Ann Carlyle & Heather Scanton 2) Adrienne Macdonnell & Marilyn Armstrong 3) Sharon Power a Sharon Leslie For the senior team, the single competitors are Sandy Fraser and Gail Thompson. Two doubles teams will be chosen from the following pairs: 1) Judy Scott & Susan Perrault 2) Bev Muir & Wendy Spicer 3) Carol Milne & Christene Lowry 4) Jill Grant & Diana Davidson Intermural Badminton- -------------------- is held Tuesday and Wednesday during D and E blocks until November 20th. Interschool Basketball- ---------------------- Practices started on October 2J+th and will continue until both Junior and Senior teams are chosen. Miss Thomson is coaching the seniors and Miss Clarke is Junior coach. Both teams will play their first game on November 28th. Intermural Basketball- --------------------- which is under the direction of Sandy Fraser, will start in mid- November. The schedule will be played during D and E blocks Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Girls Athletic Associatiom- -------------------------- The GAA has met twice this fall with Janis Ostling, the president, chairing the meetings. The remaining members of the Executive were selected at the first meeting: Vice-President -Devon Leguillette Secretary -Sandy Fraser Treasurer -April Cockle At the second meeting, the girls organized their campaign for Hobe Day to be held on November 1st, 1968. Less than 65% of the members of the Girls Athlet1c Association were present at both meetings.
