PISCES

	I see that you have successfully stopped feeling sorry for your-
self. You will extend your great warmth and human understanding. .Do
not let your changing colours effect you, for you change like the
wind. You seem to think that the future holds something in store for
you. Take advantage of the present day. Do not let false things dis-
allusion you. Remember that time is on your side.


			APATHY

	Apathy is defined as a general lack of interest or indifference to
what is happening around one person or group of people. I attribute
apathy as one of the major reasons for student revolt in the form of
riots, unruly demonstrations and malicious conduct.
	The only difference in my definition of apathy (in relation to
what is happening) is, apathy is indifference to anything except that
which is "in" or overcomes thinking and hard work.
	School spirit is necessary. I. do not refer to the "football-game-
Friday-night-dance" spirit, but to the spirit which enables a student
or body of students to rouse themselves enough to effict changes in.
the system which has been a source of discontent.
	These students through proper thinking.processes should be able to
arrive at a reasonable and workable solution to their problems without
having uttered the words "student power!"
	Apathy breeds hangers-on and they are the ones who sit back and
let others do the thinking. Then they incite themselves and others
into action or easy but wrong methods of gaining the ends.
	Generally these types of people hide behind the name of student
activist (M), which when translated, means '"loud-mouthed rabble rouser
(Militant)", not to be confused with student activist (S) which means
"well-voiced committee member (Sedentary)".
	If students were perhaps less apathetic and less righteous in
their rebellious mutterings of "down with the Establishment" maybe they
would look less like what they are supposed to be-far-reaching, clear-
thinking activists! Nothing apes adult action more than muttering in-
dignantly the approved protests and then sitting back to see what is
being done by others. Often nothing is being done because of lack of
support.
	However, there is a small group of students here who are trying
to effict changes in the schoolsystems.
	WE are still in the planning stage and it may be a while before
any major earth-shaking reforms are make at the high-school level, but
we need and want support, we want enthusiastic, well-informed people to
aid us.
