Then he quoted, from Lord Bertrand Russell (Used more purposefully this time): I have three things driving me in life: The desire to be loved, a search for knowledge, and extreme pity for all mankind." Someone noted that it was a PROTESTANT Provincial Conference and that there was a lack of French-Speaking delegates, so one couldn't even call it Provincial. After some more general discussion, we sang God Save the Queen and Depoe sat. And, except for a banquet, folk-singer and a dance, that was the end of it. This conference didn't get any goals, but it did aim at dialogue. In this much it succeeded. Perhaps there should have been small group discussions on small problems, but at least we met, talked and argued, and left with an enlightened mind.
