Class of 1969
Where do I start after 34 years…. I am living in Beaconsfield and have lived in the area except for 2 years in the mid 80's when I was at McMaster University in Hamilton doing my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I have been working at the Montreal Children's Hospital since 1973 and have held a variety of nursing positions both in management and clinical practice. I discovered that I truly enjoy working with children and their families so have concentrated on my clinical practice. I have been fortunate to have a had very challenging nursing positions and I would have to say that my favorites have been working with pregnant teens and my present position, working with children with cardiac problems and with their families.
On the home front, I was widowed in 1992. My husband Tim was also from the West Island, and went to our rival high school St. Thomas and to Stanstead. We had a son, Shawn in 1991 and he is the cute one in the picture you see. Shawn is now 12 years old and is very athletic like his Dad was. I am a hockey Mom in the winter and a soccer Mom all summer. He will be starting high school in September and reading Pat's diary will hopefully make me a more "understanding" mother! After all, we all turned out ok didn't we!!
Planning this reunion has been a blast. Lots of hard work but mostly lots of fun. I can hardly wait to see everyone!
