MLM Rules
                                                               ============================== =
                                                                 EXPECTATIONS  &  REQUIREMENTS
                                                                ============================== =
1.You must carry a .13 Latency or better. Latencies will be checked weekly if you race at a latency over .13 you may not be permitted to race in MLM league races in the future till you can prove your improved connection.

2.Drivers are expected to be prepared to drive at the scheduled track each week.  This includes being able to drive smooth high and low lines at the track, being able to move cleanly and safely out of the way of faster traffic when being lapped, understanding pit entry/exit procedures, and knowing pit road speeds.

3.There is a wide range of driver skill levels.  We firmly believe that drivers with disparate skills can drive together on the same track if everyone does their part.  Faster drivers, please respect the skill level of slower drivers.  Recognize their braking points and don't run them over on turn entry.  Don't crowd them in the corner.  When passing, give plenty of room in case they bobble it.  Slower drivers, recognize when it's appropriate to race faster cars hard versus when it's doing nobody any good to hold up faster traffic.  The latter is usually the case, so, move out of the way and let them pass before frustrations mount.  Try to indicate whether they should pass high or low.

4.No Road Rage,,,Not only is driving overly aggressively in an online match a bad idea from a strategic point of view, it's also a bad idea from a community standpoint. Make sure you play with proper etiquette, as unsportsmanlike conduct will likely get your rep dinged with unfavorable player feedback/reviews.

5.Watch your back.In short, don't drive another car into the rail, don't tag a rear bumper to spin someone out, and don't stop or sit parallel in the road. At the same time, don't always jump to conclusions regarding your fellow drivers. If they tap you once, that's unfortunate; if they tap you twice, that's suspicious; if they slam you or if you see them take someone out in front of you, that's cause for criticism. Be fair in both your driving and your feedback.

6.We all race for fun.  We all make mistakes.  Everyone gets caught up in others mistakes.  Accept it and move on.  If necessary, file a protest with the league after the race.  Never take aggressive retaliatory actions against a fellow driver during a race.  Such behavior will not be tolerated.

7.Race Reviews: Races will reviewed by MLM OFFICIALS on an as-need basis.  If you see an infraction that you feel is significant enough to have an effect on the race, or if a particular driver repeats the same infraction several times, please notify us.

8.Rules Infractions: Rules infractions will be dealt with in a per-incident basis as judged by MLM officials.  Infractions that result from repeatedly ignoring recommendations will be judged more severely.

9.Overturning Results: As a result of post-race review, MLM officials may overturn a ruling and adjust the final standings.  In addition, the review could result in penalties levied against drivers, season point deductions,  and final race result adjustments at the discretion of the officials.

10.Protests: If a driver sees an infraction, it is the drivers responsibility to bring that infraction to the attention of the MLM officials for post-race review. Please include replay if possible ,if not possible please note lap and time of incident.

11.While race incidents are reviewed by race officials, it is impossible to review every car for the entire race.  Do not expect that race officials will notice every infraction.  If an infraction substantially affects the progress of a race, or a driver repeats an infraction, report it.

12.If you make a mistake and catch the apron or hit the wall, make every effort to stay out of the racing line until you are back up to racing speed. This will prevent small incidents from becoming major pile-ups

13.It is important to be aware of whats going on around you. Use the F-2 screen (press the enter key to see intervals of cars around you), along with your mirrors and your spotter. Remember that the spotter is not always right, and you are ultimately responsible for what you do with your car

14.When issues do arise handle the situation in a professional manner by contacting your Admin. They will deal with the incident after reviewing the replay and chat log.

                                                                                         !!!!RULES!!!!
                                                             ======================================
Drivers Meeting
Prior to the race, a drivers meeting will be distributed that will include all race settings and any special rules or notes for that race.

Black Flags
Penalties levied by NASCAR3 are final.  Race admins will NOT clear black flags during the race.

Pit entries & exits
During practice and happy hour sessions all drivers must enter and exit pits properly.Note: When entering the pits during a caution, maintain caution-pace speed and do not pass the car in front of you until you have passed the pit entry line.  Do not slow substantially as this will place the driver behind you in jeopardy of receiving a black flag if he inadvertently passes you before you have entered the pits.Warning: When the driver in front of you drops below the apron to enter the pits during a caution it is very easy to lose track of his/her position relative to your car as his/her car may drop from view.  Be very careful not to pass the start finish line before the driver crosses the pit entry line.  If you do, you will receive a black flag.  Use the F2 key to monitor your position relative to his/her car.

Auto-chat
Drivers should use auto-chat messages to indicate on-track driving intentions such as pitting or allowing other drivers to pass.Note: Chat can be fun and it is how we get to know one another. Therefore, chat is allowed during the practice sessions, the happy hour sessions and during caution laps of a race.  However, chat under caution should be minimized after the one to go " signal has been given.Recommendation: Set up your auto-chat messages to issue your screen name so that other drivers can quickly identify who the message is coming from.  your-screen-name: Pass me low

Cautions
1.When a caution is issued, maintain your position; do not pass other cars.
Exception: During the last ten laps of a race, drivers are allowed to race back to the start/finish line.
Exception: Cars involved in an incident or severely off-pace may be passed.
Exception: Cars that wave you on (via chat message) may be passed.
Exception: The leader may, at his option, slow before the start/finish line if it is safe to do so with the intent   of allowing lapped drivers to get a lap back.  If this situation occurs, lapped drivers may safely pass other cars before the start/finish line.  However, long, high-speed, dangerous runs at the leader in an attempt to get a lap back will not be tolerated.Recommendation: When a caution is issued, if possible briefly maintain race speed until you determine that it is safe to slow down and that you will not get hit from behind.

Pace&Caution laps
1.Maintain a gap of 0.7 to 1.5 second interval between you and the car in front of you until the backstretch when getting ready to go green, then close the gap to 0.4 to 0.7 seconds.
2.Maintain pace speed. If the pace speed is 70, drive 70, not 80,60,90,60. Try to keep from causing the field to accordion
3.No scrubbing tires or swerving
4.Find your proper place in line and stay put. Misplaced drivers causing black flags are subject to penalty.

Starts/Restarts
1.Brake checking is not allowed. Brake checking is the act of tapping the brakes just before a start/restart to force the cars behind you to also brake
2.Stagger until the final straight before a restart, once you on the final straight move to your proper position for the restart (if there are lapped cars, please give room so they can get to their starting position)
3.The Leader must maintain pace speed after the pace car enters the pits and until the green flag waves.
4.Go on the green flag only. A flying restart will be determined by anyone going more than 5 mph over pace speed when the green flag flies
5.NO PASSING TO THE LEFT BEFORE THE EXIT OF TURN 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exception:A. You are waved by by the car in front of you.--i.e. "Pass Me High"
B.You are avoiding an accident, a car that has apparently missed or lost a gear, or a car with engine failure.
C.If you are requested to pass before the start/finish line, be sure to pass to the outside. If you pass inside you will receive a black flag.

Racing
1.Dive bomb passing is defined as being to the inside and not having at least one half car length on the car in front before corner entry. This type of passing forces the leading car out of their line to avoid an accident and is not allowed.
2.Blocking is not allowed. Blocking is defined as changing your line more than once in an obvious attempt to prevent a trailing car from safely executing a pass.
3.Lapped cars are encouraged to let the leaders pass unless they are racing for position.
4.Cars slowed by damage are encouraged to let other cars pass unless they are racing for position with other damaged cars.
5.It is the overtaking car's responsibility to execute a safe pass.
6.If a car has position on you, you are expected to hold your line (either high or low).
7.You are expected to maintain proper control of your vehicle at all times. Most incidents occur on corner entry so extra care must be taken. Failure to hold your line resulting in contact to a trailing or passing car may result in a penalty. Examples are:
A.Entering a corner too fast or too low, resulting in a push up the track.
B.Touching the apron and pushing up the track.
C.Diving back into the low line after a push up the track.
D.Braking unexpectedly without just cause. This includes jamming the brakes to correct a spin.
Overly aggressive driving will not be tolerated. A driver forcing the issue with dangerous passes, weaving recklessly through traffic will be penalized.

Accidents
1.If you are involved in an accident
2.Try to get to the apron as quickly and safely as possible
3.Wait for all race traffic to get past you before turning around on the track.
4.When unable to move due to damage, press ALT-i to initiate a tow back to your pits
5.Stay low or off the track when trying to limp back to the pits for repairs
6.If youre less than 80% of race speed you must retire from the race.
7.If you are involved in an accident and you get passed by cars avoiding the wreck, do not try to regain your original position (i.e. You are running in 9th before the accident then 6 cars pass you avoiding the wreck, you are now in 15th position. Do not go back to 9th place. Your new position in 15th).,Anyone plowing into a stationary car at full throttle will be dealt with harshly
8.Leaders may allow lap cars to get their lap back at the leaders discretion. The leader is responsible for maintaining a safe pace speed and the lapped car is responsible for making a safe pass (if you are a half lap down, don't try to go full throttle to make up the lap, please use good judgment)
9.When there are 10 or less laps to go, all cars not on the lead lap will enter pit road on the second or third caution lap. You are not required to enter your pit stall, just drive down pit road and wait for the NASCAR official at the end of pit road to release you. This will allow cars on the lead lap to race for position, and will allow lapped cars to maintain their relative positions behind the lead lap cars for the single file restart

WARP
1. Use alt-y to monitor your connection during races. This will give you a real time report of your latency, quality and skew. If you are in the red, your connection is poor and is likely affecting your fellow competitors ability to compete safely. If you are experiencing warping then either drop to the back of the field or go to pit road until the warp has cleared up enough to ensure safe racing.
2.Signs of warping
  A.Connection monitor in red.
  B.Most or all cars disappearing.
C.Most or all cars are zig-zagging
D.Other drivers tell you that you are warping
3.Actions to take when warping
  A.Give plenty of room.
B.Allow others to pass without racing them.
C.Drop to the rear of the field.
D.Pull into the pits and wait for your connection to improve.
NOTE:If you do not take corrective action when your connection quality drops, the Admin may ask you to park your car. If you do not, the Admin may eject you from the race.Standard League penalties apply to warp related incidents
