Race Report: 

MTB Racing Assoc. of Western PA (MBRAWP), 
Brady's Run, Beaver, PA
April 22, 2001

It rained for three days. It cleared up Saturday and was supposed to be, and was, very warm. It started raining again 5 minutes before the gun. It rained the whole race. It was fun.

Mistakes:
I started quick, trying to flank the pack as we hit the stream crossing. My mistake was that I had to shoot off a 2 foot bank into the stream. (No wonder no one else was taking that line.)

'Tweaked' my back on a drop into a stream 1/2 way through the race. Spasm's were quite a drag for the remaining 5 miles.

Overzealous on some downhills. Actually took flight over the bar after skillfully missing a T-bone with a 4 foot wide oak tree.

Successes:
Was able to get over the fact that I couldn't use the small ring due to chain suck.
