Vyv Alms states the following (which may or may not be correct!) : "I have checked with John Nicholls about the run out/stumping off my bowling and he confirmed that as the batsmen had not crossed it is a stumping, so I have claimed the wicket!" The dismissal was so bizarre it could be either - the batsman was standing out of his crease debating whether to run with his partner (after the ball hit his pad) but had not attempted to run. The progress he had made was part of the shot he played. A majority of the team thought it was a run out, but the captain was bowling........ Any thoughts to "[email protected]".
