Result: Match abandoned due to rain - match drawn.

The first match of the 2nd XI season ended disappointingly, with Old Eds 
well placed for victory.

Bronze had been restricted to 157 all out by consistent bowling. Preston
Fletcher took four wickets, including one from an excellent running catch
from Rick Sheppard. Zafar Khan bowled accurately in his first match.

Terry McMichael and Frank Jones started well with an opening partnership
of 48. But, as the rain began to fall, risks were taken and Frank was caught
(sweeping, of course).
