| John Zacharias, Gill Giesbrectch, and Meno Friesen, along with visiting bass player Brian Magann, make up this talented group. John, Meno, and Gill have been playing together for around 20 years, as John recalls. Brian is an accomplished bass player and is quite well known in the bluegrass circle in Calgary and area. The Redwoods do a �Hee Haw Gospel Quartet� style of music, but there�s only three of them singing. They have been playing in a small circle in the Calgary area, and John says, �We just do it for fun, and some places have even asked us to come back!"� Well, kinda sounds like these guys are in big demand and we are proud to present them to you at the Highwood Country Bluegrass Gospel Festival. |
