2009 Family Fun Vacation Reunion Thurs., July 16th-Sun. July 19th

Are you planning to attend our Family Fun Vacation Reunion? Please complete the RSVP form or leave your RSVP information on our voicemail box by calling 1-641-715-3900 ext. 71951#. so that we may have an idea of expected attendance. We have deliberately kept the fees low so that members would not have to pay for activities that they wouldn't be present to attend or participate in. This reunion is pay-as-you go; however, we are in need of funds and other donated items to help cover organizational costs. We are requesting that you donate certain items to help off-set the cost of conducting the family reunion. Below you will find the donations sign-up and volunteer sign-up links. You may come back to this webpage to sign-up as often as you like. We suggest you print out the camping checklist because it would be invaluable to all you first time campers. Two reunion keepsake gift baskets valued over $50 will be raffled off during the reunion. You may purchase raffle tickets here online and also during the reunion. Finally, if you have not officially joined JRFA, please take this opportunity to do so now. You may pay annual dues below. Just a reminder, we will continually be adding other JRFA personalized items to this website as they become available for sale. We'll let you know when we do so.

Things to keep in mind that you will be responsible for and your fees will not cover are the following:

  • 1. Admission to Lakepoint Resort State Park (probably will not be a charge unless you are going to certain areas such as picnic area or golfing), Providence Canyon (admission is free, but each vehicle pays $3 parking fee), Westville (Adults $10.00, Seniors, College Students, and Military $8.00, Students K-12 $5.00-Group rates are available but must be paid 7 days in advance.), or any associated parking fees during the reunion.
  • 2. The cost of your campsite. It is your responsibility to make your own reservations for 1 night (July 16th or 17th) or 2 nights (Both July 16th and 17th). JRFA has reserved 4 lakefront campsites to be used as the base camp for the 2 day reunion activities rain or shine. We will have shelters, screen rooms, fans, and at least one air conditioned tent to allow for your comfort level. Of course if you will not be staying overnight in the campground and are only planning to visit to participate in the reunion activites, then you need not worry about obtaining a campsite for either day. And in this case, you would simply come to the campground as a visitor. A $2 visitor/parking pass may be charged anytime from 8-4pm for entrance. When you make your reservations, ask for the lakefront campsites. They are a little more expensive, but should be cooler because of the proximity to the water, and you will be closer to base camp. All of the campsites suppose to be well-shaded by trees. Keep in mind, they only allow one tent per site.
  • 3. Hotel lodging expenses. It is your responsibility to make your own reservations for as many nights as you will need. If you are not camping with us, then plan accordingly. Campers will need one night accomodations for Saturday, July 18th. Please call and make your respected reservations early. Our preferred hotel is the Econo Lodge and their number is (334)687-0166. Because of the limited number of rooms available, only 3 rooms could be reserved. Even if you can not join us for an overnight stay here, there are other hotels nearby. The closest is the Motor Lodge $42/night 334-687-4811.
  • 4. Transportation costs associated with travel to and from the reunion or during any tours or field trips.

You can pay your reunion fees, purchase t-shirts or make a deposit, purchase raffle tickets, and/or officially join JRFA right now safely and securely using your credit card or PayPal account. You do not have to sign-up for a PayPal account to take advantage of this convenience.

Step #1 Select what you want to purchase by using any of the pull-down menus to make your selection.
#2 Click "add to cart" and do this for each item.
#3 Click "view cart" anytime you want to review your selection, indicate a quantity, remove an item, or when you are ready to check-out. Be sure to click "update cart" whenever you change the quantity or remove an item.
#4 When you are ready to pay for the items in your shopping cart, select "proceed to checkout". You will be directed to the PayPal site where you will need to verify that your total is correct. If not simply close that page and return back to your shopping cart on the JRFA website.
#5 If your total is correct, you can log into your PayPal to pay for your items. If you do not have a PayPal account, look on the page where you see the credit card logos and click "continue".
#6 Enter your billing and credit card information and click at the bottom where it says "review order and continue" to confirm and process your payment.
