| Cleaning a D.E. Filter |
| D.E. (Diatomacious Earth) filters should be disassembled and cleaned at least once every year, though some require it more often depending upon swimming pool usage and environmental factors. |

| Upon disassembly, each filter grid is cleaned and inspected. Any grids with holes or tears should be replaced immediately. |

| When the entire assembly has been placed into the Filter tank, the O-ring will be lubricated and the lid will be placed on top of the tank. The pump will be turned on, and D.E. will be replaced immediately (via the skimmers). You will notice improved water circulation, lower pump filter pressure, and increased water clarity. |
