DEAD BEAT
CLUBS
While most gigs go off without a hitch, and the bands are paid the agreed upon fees, this is not always the case. We as musicians have a voice and need to unite against "dead beat" club owners and poorly managaged booking agency's.  This is a new section to warn fellow musicians and patrons of local establishments of theses "dead beats" that enter into bad business behavior or treat the hired entertainment poorly. I hope each of you continue to support your local live entertainment venues when you're not working, and avoid those venues that treat your fellow musicians poorly. Below is a list of clubs that we will no longer support or perform at. If you want specific details on any of these clubs, feel free to contact us.
Church Street Station, Sandwich IL. This club entered into a signed contract with a fixed  fee to be paid at the end of the evening. At the end of the evening they defaulted on the contract and shorted the musicians $240 of pay. Future bands, please beware of this prior to booking gigs there. Two other band have come forward and stated this club shorted them money as well. This was not an isolated incident.

Alpha's II, Joliet IL. This club has had calendar issues with double bookings and multiple cancellations by managment. After three double bookings and a final cancellation to hire  an out of town band comming thru the area, we are no longer supporting this club as well. At least they pay thier entertainment fees as required.

Miss Dotties, Aurora IL. While this goes back a few years, the owner's husband phyically assulted a band member because he felt the band was paid to much for entertainment that night. Instead of filing a police report, the band has used it's voice to communicate with fellow musicains in this area of this violent behavior.
