Welcome to Jason and Deanna's Planted Tank!

Note: I'm really much better at web designing, but I just wanted to get this page up and running, so here's my quick five minute page.
Basically, pardon the mess, I'll clean it up later type of thing..

This is the first set of pics from when I first planted the tank on 9/2/2002.
The changes for this week include:
1. New CO2 reactor
2. Put Flourish tabs in the substrate near all plants.
2. Started adding flourish iron at 6 drops every other day (Starting slowly)
3. Added all new plants except for the swords which have been there for three weeks.
This pic is of the whole tank on 9/2. Sorry about the glare.. Still working out the best way to take photos
This picture is of the ludwigia repens and my CO2 reactor.
The reactor is just an aquaclear 402 powerhead blowing down into
a water bottle with a bit of sponge on the bottom to keep the CO2
in the bottle and let the CO2 enriched water escape.
I got this idea from Chuck's Planted Aquaria.
Similar to the note on his page, I went from about 7 ppm CO2 to about 20 with this reactor.
The other thing that helped with CO2 was adding a sponge to the outlet of my Aquaclear power filter.
This is the next week's pics from 9/8/2002
Changes For this week:
1. Up the iron dosage to 8 drops daily as Ludwigia is showing a deficiency.
2. Still setting up PMDD, hope to have in place by next week.
3. Possibly getting a nitrate and iron test kit.
This pic is of the whole tank on 9/9.
The noticable changes this week were a fading of the red in the ludwigia,
lots of runners pointing downwards from the ludwigia as well as new leaves,
excellent growth from the sword in the back right,
and some runners from the dwarf sag. and Micranthemum.
I'm going to add more iron to get the ludwigia back to the brilliant red
from the week before.
