Zach Blanton Wins first event of the year  at Jackson Lake!!!!!
Can you say deja' vu. Blanton is off to another great start again this year.On a cool april 5th day Blanton posted the only 5 fish limit and walked away with first place honors.Winston Wade was also able coax a few largemouth from the high muddy water , good enough for second place. Haleigh Caldwell followed him up with a close third.  Great start guys! I'm looking foward to the next tournament in two weeks.

Rumble in Rio
A rain drizzling day produced a keeper bass for all of the Jr.BassBusters competing . Rio Reservoir also produced the biggest bass ever weighed at a Jr.BassBusters event!! A 3 pound 2 ounce pig caught by rookie angler Jeff Combs. Combs road that bass to a second place finish. Zack Blanton continued his string of consistant top finishes with a solid third place. As usual Travis Tackett gets better as the season goes on and today showed why he is the defending club champion. Tackett weighed in four fish at 4 pounds even for a 1st place victory and chipped away at Blanton's Angler of the Year point lead.

Tough Tycoon Tournament
A  consistantly stingy Tycoon Lake  lived up to it's reputation. All but one angler zero'ed for the day. Tycoon Lake had only given up three total fish in two previous Jr.  tournaments. Although one angler's opinion may differ from mine. Winston Wade , who missed the Rio Reservoir tournament, made up some ground in a hurry. Winston Wade won the Tycoon Lake Tournament in a dominating fashion by bringing three fish to the scales for a 2# 3oz total. Winston moves all the way up to second place in the angler of the year points race and proves that it's not over till it's over.

Repeat at Rupert.....Hawks Wins
An overcast day at lake Rupert produced the biggest winning weight of the year. Jessie Hawks brought 5 # - 13 oz  to the scales to notch his second Jr. tournament victory. Jessie's dad had won a Bassbusters tournament the week prior at Lake Rupert and was able to give him some good advice.Hawks will jump up two places in the angler of the year race to fourth. Coming in  second at Lake Rupert is Winston Wade with 3 # - 4 oz. With another strong showing, Winston will take over the angler of the year race lead .Haleigh Caldwell brought 2 #'s even to the scales for a solid 3rd place finish. Only 42 points seperate 1st to 3rd place in the points race with one tournament to go. Who's it gonna be, can Wade stay red hot and hang on, can Blanton pull off a little more "the natural" magic, or can Caldwell claim her second Club championship!

Burnett Wins, Winston rides Wade of Momentum
In the first river tournament Jr.BassBusters have held, Cory Burnett proved to adapt to a "current" situation the best. Cory's 1 pound 15 ounce largemouth was more than enough to take home 1st place honor's. Meanwhile Winston Wade held off a good last tournament effort by Haleigh Caldwell, and caught 2 fish in the closing minutes of the day to secure a Gallipolis Jr.BassBusters points Championship! Wade finished no lower than 3rd place in the last three tournaments enroute to the point's title.
