american football has broken up. each of the members are doing their own thing. Mike is playing with his brother again with a new re-born Cap n Jazz. they have a new album out on jade tree in late July, in addition he will release a solo album Sept 18 2001 under the name "OWEN" on Polyvinyl Records.

American Football is vocalist/bassist/guitarist Mike Kinsella, guitarist Steve Holmes and drummer/trumpet player Steve Lamos. Kinsella has been is a couple of infamous emo/post-rock bands.
