A little story about the Cougar coaching staff:
Its a new year for Alexander wrestlers with a brand new coaching staff. Head Coach Charlie Cornell will be stepping up from assistant coach under Coach Brown to lead the cougars during the 2001-2002 season. Assistant Coach Lazaro Reinoso is new to Alexander this year coming from Carson-Newman college in Tennessee, where he was a 4-time Division-II All-American for the Eagles, Coach Reinoso also was an Olympic Bronze medalist in the 1992 Olympics and he also won a silver medal in the 1993 World Championships. Community Coach Rod Horner is also new to the program this year. Coach Horner wrestled in Florida during his High School career, then he wrestled for University Tennessee-Chattanooga in college and won a Conference Championship in the program of UTC.
