Your Math History papers are due on Tuesday;
they will count worth FIVE HOMEWORKS.
We will be hearing the extra credit reports all week long,
so there is no other homework this week.

INTERNET RESOURCES FOR YOUR MATH PAPERS (from Mrs. Nelson, our librarian):

The MacTutor History of Mathematics Archive contains the biographies of more than 1100 mathematicians. References are given for the biographies and these references can be used to locate further information.

The Links to Websites on the History of Mathematics also presents many useful links to biographies.

The Mathematics Genealogy Project attempts to collect information about every mathematician in the world.

Week of May 11

MON: No homework.
We went over the STAR packets in class.
Good luck to the students taking the Math STAR Test tomorrow morning.
Bring your 11 tests and gold solutions sheets ASAP if you have not done so already.

TUE: No homework.
We will see a movie on "Fractals" in periods 3 and 5 today.

WED: Today you will choose your mathematician for the Math History unit.
Juniors missing class due to the English A.P. should see Mrs. R. on Tuesday to make arrangements ahead of time regarding your mathematician.

THU: No homework.
We will see a movie on "Fractals" in periods 4 and 6 today.

FRI: Report directly to the library today to research your mathematician. We will start "Integration by Parts" on Monday! Have fun at the prom.
