Junior AAA Hockey
Junior League Kicks Off! The Junior AAA Hockey League is a group of youngsters, or potential draftees that are playing for their careers. Being a feeder system to the NWHL these players will strut their stuff to prove that they are NWHL material. "This is our chance to prove ourselves," said one unnamed future JrAAA Hockey Player. "The best young players from around the world come to this league and compete against each other, and from here its off to the NWHL farm system, where we will once again have to prove our worth. It will really weed out the bad from the good." What will happen to those players who fail to make the cut? What will happen when a player reaches his late 20s and early 30s with no NWHL career in sight? "Well they could theoretically play out their careers in the Juniors at the age of 40, if they didnt decide to retire, because lets face it, the pay in the Junior league is that of a McDonalds janitor, it is barely enough to live on," said NWHL commissioner Jason Greenway. "Thats not the point of the juniors to make money, so I doubt you will see many aging players continuing after 27 or 28 years old. And before you ask, no a NWHL team cannot sign a Junior AAA Free Agent." Stay tuned here for more information and stats as the Junior AAA League kicks off Monday night. |
