He was discharged on surgeon's certificate of disability on 17 March 1865 at Brattleboro, Vermont. Military records state that he was not married at the time of his enlistment. Place of death was 1534 9th Street, Boulder, Colorado. His former residence was Hebron, Nebraska. His occupation was listed as farmer.
