He had lived here since 1917, and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vercelia E. Hatley; two sons, Robert, of South Bay, and Lloyd Leroy, city; one daughter, Mrs. Mary A. Vercelia Hatley, Churchwoman, Called - Mrs. Vercelia Emogene Hatley, who had
lived in Bellingham fourteen years, died early today at her home, 1511 Iron street,
aged 77 years, after six months' illness. She was a member of the First Baptist
church at Owatonna, Minn. Funeral services will be held at the Homer Mark mortuary
at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. W. E. Loucks officiating. Burial will follow
in Woodlawn cemetery. Mrs. Hatley is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. E. Nichols,
city; two sons, Robert Edwin Hatley, Sedro-Woolley, and Lloyd L. Hatley, Clallam
Bay; two brothers, Jaley Medley and Delzeron Medley, Milbank. S.D.; one sister,
Mrs. John Hatley, Owatonna, Minn. and five grandchildren. She was buried on
10 Apr 1931 in Woodlawn Cemetary, Ferndale, Whatcom Co., Washington.
