OBITUARIES
PARSONS, Millard F. - Millard Franklin Parsons, 506 N. Third St., died Saturday at a local hospital. he was 83. Born May 22, 1888, in Scottsboro, Ala., he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1911 and served four years. He married Winnie C. Wright in Salt Lake City in 1955. He worked as a plumber before retiring in 1958. He was a member of the United Brethern church of Roanoke, La. He is survived by his wife, Winnie, at the home; a son, Harold F. Parsons, Jennings, La., a stepdaughter, Mrs. John (Margaret) Lemon, La Grande; a brother, Olin K. Parsons, Houston; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the DeWitt memorial Chapel with Rev. Brainerd Fraser of White Temple Baptist Church officiating. Interment is to be in the Waitsburg IOOF Cemetery. PARSONS, Olin K. - Olin Kesterson Parsons of 1101 West Gardner, passed away Wednesday. Born September 18, 1892 in Swearingen, Ala. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Ethel M. Parsons, houston; daughters, Mrs. G. C. (Evelyn) Zachry, Lockesburg, Ark., Mrs. E. L. (Olive) Barton, Roundtop, Texas; Mrs. D. J. (Dora) Redus, Houston; Mrs. C. L. (Mildred) Jones, Lake Charles, La.; Mrs. W. E. (Dorothy) Moore, Houston; Mrs. F. V. (Charlotte) Taylor, Lockesburg, Ark.; Mrs. W. R. (Helen) Parker, Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. G. R. (Betty) Dietrich, Houston; 12 grandchildren. Services Friday 1:30 p.m. Heights Chapel with Rev. Leo V. Howard officiating. Interment Woodlawn Garden of Memories. Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., 862-8844.
