    It was just another innocent day at the Quest Compound. Jessie was
reading, Jonny and Hadji were playing fisbee inside the house again, Dr.
Quest was telling them to stop while Bandit barked and Race was outside
training.
    A gentle knock came to the door. "Konnichi wa!" an unfamilar voice
cried. "Please! Minna! Help us!"
    Jessie put down her book and walked over to the door. She peered through
the window. "Jonny come here!"
    Jonny turned his head to Jessie just in time to get hit in the head with
a frisbee. He studderd backwards then walked over to the door. "Who is
that?"
    "Robots?" Jessie guessed."It looks like one of them has a problem with
wiring."
    "Hey dad!" Jonny cried.
    Dr. Quest ran over and opened the door. He peered down at three people.
    Spaghetti stood up. "My name is Spaghetti." She bowed deeply. "My friend
Taggeria slipped on some slippery rocks and tore up some wiring. I'm afraid
that she'll malfunction if she does not get help."
    Taggeria's head lay on Janeba's knee, proped up for support.
    Taggeria's eyes were closed and her breathing was slow and random.
"Please...Jeneba...let me die..."
    "NO!" Janeba cried. He shook her. "No! No! No!"
    Taggeria's tail, for the first time, loosend it's grip and dropped to
the floor. She was in dire pain and in need of help.
    Spaghetti turned to Dr. Quest. "We were told that you can fix robots.
While we are marionettes, please help Taggy all you can!"
    Dr. Quest thought. "Yes, I will try." He had Janeba bring Taggeria into
the compound to where she was fixed by Dr. Quest.
    "Where do you come from?" Jessie asked while Taggeria was being
re-wired.
    Janeba pointed down.
    "Oh...umm...who do you belong to?"
    "Chibi Dark Angel. We're looking despratly for her..."
    "Yeah," Spaghetti chimed in. "Janeba here is the only male marionette
alive."
    "Shut up! Nothing I'm proud of!" short-tempered Janeba cried.
    "Cranky cranky cranky!" Taggeria cried, done with rewiring.
    "Taggeria-chan!" Spaghetti hugged Taggeria. Taggeria pushed her away.
    "Don't be so happy to see me. Once he does a follow-up I'm leaving all
of you behind and going on my own trip." She walked away.
    Dr. Quest walked into the room. "Spaghetti, Janeba, I'd like you to say
here...I'd like to conduct some harmless and painless tests if that's okay
with you."
    "It's like Dr. Quest-sama," replied Spaghetti for the both of them.

    The next day was a wild one. Taggeria had slept up on the roof, Janeba
down by the sea, and Spaghetti in a guest room. Jessie blinked when she was
Janeba on her morning walk. He looked up at her from the sand. "Morning."
Then went back to sleep.
    Jonny discovered Taggeria on the roof. "Um, Taggeria, what are you
doing?"
    "Trying to sleep," she said crossly. She walked away.
    Jonny blinked.
    "So where does this whole idea of 'tests' come in?" Spaghetti was asking
Dr. Quest.
    "Well I'd like to duplacate your wiring for personal study. I won't give
it out."
    "Chibi was the ones that made us, perhaps she'd like to help you...if
she ever finds us..."
    "We'll try and get you back to her..."
    "Hai."

    After a few tests, the marionettes were given a break.
    Taggeria walked over to the QuestWorld machine. She picked up a headset
and logged herself in. spaghetti and Janeba did that same.
    Taggeria looked around. "Oh my god...what is this..."
    "LOOK OUT!" screamed Janeba. He jumped up just in time to dodge a huge
virus bug that was coming after him.
    "Janeba-san, Taggeria-san, I believe we have made a grave mistake!"
Spaghetti cried.
    Taggeria and Janeba glared at her.
    "You see, we are made up of wires. As is this world. We might get caught
in here forever if we do not find a way out!"
    Taggeria and Janeba fell over. "Now you tell us!"
    "Gomen."
    Taggeria tapped the walls to find a way out. Her arm was pulled in.
"AHH!!" Then the rest of her.
    "TAGGERIA-SAN!" cried Spaghetti and Janeba. They jumped in to save her.

    Meanwhile Jonny had wanted to play a game when he saw everything. "Oh
no! DAD!"
    Dr. Quest ran over. "We have to get them out. Jonny, Jessie, into
QuestWorld, NOW!"

    The group of three slid down a long shaft until they landed in a small
opening. "Good god..." Taggeria said. She looked around where a million
computer bugs swum around.
    "Don't move, Marionettes," said a new voice. They looked up at the
screen. A tall, thin man stood. "My name is Martoi. You will be infected by
these bugs...and made mine."
    Taggeria got angry. "Let us outta here!!"
    "Now now," Martoi says calmly. "No need to get angry."
    "WHAT?!" Taggeria cried. "GRRR!!!!" She threw a blast of ki but nothing
came out. "Nani...?"
    "Ki doesn't work in here," Spaghetti said.
    "So I've noticed," Taggeria snapped.
    Janeba looked helplessly around. "Why...can't....I....move?"
    "Janeba-san?" Spaghetti asked. She looked around, he was gone.
    "GrEaT! Where'd that fool go?!" Taggeria cried angrily.
    She ran down the hallway to a chamber that could hold three seprate
people.
    Janeba was in one of them.
    A cold chill ran up Taggeria's spine.
    Just then Jonny rushed by her and broke up the chamber. Jessie grabbed
Janeba and signaled everyone to run.
    Spaghetti was in last place, trying to keep up.
    "Stupid....virtual...worlds..."she muttered.
    She tripped and fell.
    No one noticed until they were out of QuestWorld.
    Jessie looked around. "Um, where's Spaghetti?"
    Taggeria turned pale. She put the headset back on. "Log me in."
    "But you're still tired from the other mission," Dr. Quest protested.
    "I said log me in!" she repeated angrily.
    Dr. Quest logged her in.
    Taggeria ran to Spaghetti, who was half-eaten by the virus.
    "Help..." she said softly.
    "Log me out!" Taggeria cried, holding Spaghetti's arm.

    Two days later the marionettes were repaired.
    "That was my last test," Dr Quest said. "To see if the marionettes could
handle QuestWorld."
    "Apparantly not," Taggeria said. She grabbed her bag and stood up.
    Just then, Chibi Dark Angel was running up to the compound.
    "Teleport," Taggeria said. She teleported away along with Janeba and
Spaghetti.
    Needless to say, Chibi's still looking.
