My Song
Written and Performed by: The Standards

*Jessie opens an envelope to find a tape, which she
frowns at thoughtfully.  She sticks it in the stereo
sitting on the desk of her dorm room.*

(Singing begins.)
"I remember you and me."
*Jessie sits down on the bed reading the letter
enclosed with the cassette.*

"The times we had in those days."
"The scene ripples then stabilizes to show a laughing
Jonny and Jessie somewhere in the Compound.* 

Backup: Base enters and then is joined with
harmonizing voices.
(Singing speeds up a little.)
"When all our thoughts were one together."
"Jonny and Jessie both leaning over a book their heads
together as they try to work out one of the problems
together.*

"And everything you stood for was the same with me."
*Jessie and Jonny stand together as they face a figure
that morphs between the different bad guys they have
fought.*

"I never thought of what I could've had."
*Jonny not noticing the girls showing off for him.*

"Cause it was always you and I couldn't have better."
*He has eyes only for Jessie.*

"Never ever was I to choose cause you were first.  Oh,
yeah."
*Jonny heads straight for Jessie in a whole group of
girls and asks her to dance.*

Chorus:
"And I still remember you."
*Jonny hugging a pillow as tears stream from his
tightly shut eyes.*

"Those days of ours."
*Back to the scene of Jonny and Jessie laughing
together somewhere in the Compound.*

"Those days are over."
*Back to Jonny silently crying and hugging the
pillow.*

"Yes I still remember you."
*Change to Jessie sitting in her door room tears also
streaming silently down her cheeks as she holds the
letter to her chest and listens to the music.*

Harmonizing: "Baddup, baddup buh, baddah, baddah x3."
*Split screen showing the two crying.*

"I remember those picnics in the park."
*Autumn: Jessie and Jonny sitting in the grass in a
park both eating apples and talking.*

"The autumn leaves were falling."
*Jonny dumps handfuls of leaves on Jessie.*

"Earth colors-walking hand in hand."
*Unfocused camera shot of leafless branches of trees. 
The focus sharpens and zooms to show a couple holding
hands.  The Camera zooms out to reveal Jessie and
Jonny.*

"We send ripples through the water when all you had to
say were no words…"
*Jonny is skipping stones in a lake when he turns at
the sound of his name…*

"Just a smile."
*To find her simply smiling.*

Chorus:
"And I still remember you."
Back to Jonny who has stopped crying though his eyes
are still closed.  His mouth, however, has drawn up
into a small smile as he recalls the memory."

"Those days of ours."
*The scene goes fuzzy, then refocuses to show Jessie
has also stopped crying and is smiling softly at the
letter.  Her eyes, however, are not focused on the
piece of paper in her hand.*

"They're over, but I still remember you."
*Back to Jonny whose chin drops to rest on the pillow
he still hugs tightly.*

"And you know what…I miss you."
*His smile fades.*

"I remember that evening in the summer."
*Jonny stands alone on the beach…*

"It was you and me with the mist rings around the
moon."
*Staring up at the moon, which is peeking through a
whole in the clouds.*

"The light lifted as I saw her."
*Jonny looks to one side as something catches his eye
and sees Jessie making him smile.*

"While we danced to the music of falling water."
*Jonny takes Jessie in his arms and they dance to the
sound of the waves rushing in and out.*

Chorus:
"I still remember."
Backup: "I still remember you."
*Jonny finally releases the pillow and rises leaving
his room.*

"I still remember."
Backup: "I still remember you."
*Jessie returns the letter to the envelope and puts it
in a safe place.*

"I still remember cause I cannot forget.  I remember
you."
Backup: "I still remember you."
*Jonny is walking along a hall, but stops to inspect a
picture of Jessie.*

"And you know I…I miss you."
Backup: "I still remember you."
*Jessie pulls at the bottom of her shirt taking it
off.*

"Yoooooooooou."
Backup: "I still remember.  I still remember you-I
still remember you."
*Jonny enters another door.*

"Oooo."
Backup: "I still remember you."
*Jessie straightens out the new shirt she had put on.*

"Oooooh.  I…I still remember…you."
Backup: "I still remember you."
*Jonny looks around Jessie's old room.*

"Oooo."
Together: "I still remember."
*Jessie brings the black shirt to her nose and breaths
deeply.*

"And you know…I miss yoooou."
Backup: "Yoooooou.  Oooo wah oooo."
*Jonny stretches out on Jessie's bed and smells her
pillow.*

"Yooooou.  Yoooou."
Backup: "Oooo wah oooo."
*Jessie sits back down on her bed her arms wrapped
tightly around her.*

"Oooooo.  Yeah."
Backup: "Oooo wah oooo."
*Jonny holds one of Jessie's stuffed animals as if it
were her.*

"Baddup, baddup buh, bah-oooo."
Backup: "Oooo wah oooo."
*The tears return to Jessie's eyes.*

"I miss you."
Backup: "Oooo wah oooo."
*The tears return to Jonny's eyes.*

"You, you, you, you."
Backup: "Oooo wah oooo."
*Jessie closes her eyes as sobs rack her body.*

"Ooooo.  Oooooo, yeah."
Backup: "Oooo wah oooo."
*Jonny mouths, "I love you."*

"Yoooooou."
(Singing Fades)
*Jessie mouths I love you and the screen fades to
black in sync with the singing.*
