“Jonny!” Jessie called. “Get over here!”
“What’d I do now?” Jonny asked annoyed. “I’m busy, Jess. Hadji and I are
working on a new part of Questworld.”
“Do I LOOK like I care?! Didn’t think so!” She glared at Jonny, angry at
what he had done to her this morning. When Jessie awoke, she had found a
note on her bedside that read “Jessie, come downstairs. We have a really
great surprise for you. Jonny.” And when she went downstairs, all she found
was a bunch of nothing and another note: “HAHA, fooled ya, Jess. Maybe next
time you should be more careful like your father.”
Jessie’s eyes glowed red. She had changed over the past few weeks, and was
angry all the time and at everyone for no reason. For some reason she now
hated being compared to her father.
“LOOK Jonny Quest! I am tired of being compared to everyone! And you seem to
be the only one doing it!! Now STOP this and grow up!!” She then stormed
upstairs and slammed the door to her room.
“What is wrong with Jessie, Jonny?” Hadji asked, looking up from the
computer screen.
“I don’t know, Hadj. But I’m going to find out what’s gotten into Jessie,”
Jonny said angrily.
Meanwhile, Jessie sat in the corner of her room with her head against the
wall. “How can they still be putting up with me? Why don’t they just LEAVE?
They have the right to…”
“No, Jessie,” a voice out of nowhere said. “You must continue to fight. If
you do not, my plan’s will be ruined and your family will be destroyed.” And
then the person appeared as a swirly blue ball of energy and re-possessed
Jessie.
Knock, Knock, Knock.
“What is it?!” Jessie snapped.
Jonny walked into the room. “Jess, what’s gotten into you? Tell me.”
“NOTHING!” she yelled and walked out of the room, leaving awestruck Jonny
behind.
“This is going to be harder than I thought…”

Later that day it was dinnertime and Dr. Quest and Race still hadn’t
returned home.
“Where is Dr. Quest?” Hadji asked. “I must ask him about this new device.”
“I don’t know, Hadj. If I knew, I’d get them home,” Jonny said, staring
outside the window at the rain.
Hadji looked up as Jessie walked into the room. She grabbed a box of Vegetto
O’s and walked out of the room back to her room. “Jessie, wait!” Hadji
cried.
Jessie turned to look at him. “What?” Her eyes glowed red.
“Do you know where Dr. Quest and Race are?” Hadji asked.
“Don’t know, don’t care.” She then bounded up the stairs into her room and
locked the door.
“I felt something different in Jessie. That wasn’t her. I sense the present
of evil, Jonny. We must help Jessie.”
“If my dad was here it would be a whole lot easier…”
“But he isn’t, therefore we must do this on our own!”
“Okay, Hadj. Just tell me what to do.”
Hadji stood against the wall while Jonny stood against another. "Jonny,"
Hadji whispered. "When Jessie comes, you must make sure she does not get
away!"
    "Hadj, this is a crazy plan! I don't understand!! How can this work?!"
Jonny hisssed back. He stood ready as he heard Jessie coming down the
stairs.
    Jessie paused at the bottom of the stairs. "I can sense them...they're
around...what the heck am I supposed to do now?"
    Jonny got into position. He was going to save Jessie no matter what.
There was no chance that she was going to get away. Jessie had to be stopped
and the evil inside of her destroyed before their lives were ruined.
    Jessie walked slowly by the kitchen, where she did not notice Jonny and
Hadji.
    Jonny ran out behind Jessie and pinned her arms behind her. "Gotcha!"
    "You little-!! Let me GO!!" Jessie screamed. She managed to grab Jonny's
arms and flipped him over her. Jonny landed on the ground with a deafening
thud. "Never EVER try anything like that on me again, Jonny Quest!! Or else
your end will come sooner than you think!!"
    Jessie ran past Hadji, knocking him over and into the wall. She ran out
the door as fast as she coud, her eyes glowing an evil red.
    "Jonny, are you okay?" Hadji asked.
    "Yeah...I'm fine... I'm really worried about Jess, though. What are we
going to do? We can't let her keep going on like this. She's going to get
hurt, I know it!"
    "Well my friend, we must wait until she returns. It will be too
dangerous to follow her now."
    "Well, I'm going. Dangerous or not, that's my Jessie and I'm not letting
her get hurt!!" And at that, Jonny ran out the door after Jess.
    Hadji stood alone in the kitchen. "Foolishness can only hurt someone,
not make then braver (Authors note: BRAVER! HA!! Cloud's first limit break!!
Oops, sorry, lmao, playing too much FF7)."

    Three hours later...
    Jonny staggered into the door. He fell to the floor as Hadji ran over to
see what had happened. Jonny's face was cut up, there was a cut down the
side of his arm and blood filled his face and the cuts. Jonny wiped the
blood from his mouth and stood up. "She's gone."
    "How?!"
    "She ran off to the dock and jumped onto one of the boats...I can't
believe this Hadj. I failed at this..."
    "Jonny, do not worry about it. We will get her back. Come." Hadji walked
down to the docks and pointed at a small boat that fit three people.
    "I got it!" Jonny said. He jumped onto the boat and quickly hot wired
it. Hadji jumped into the boat just as Jonny zoomed off. (cue the song "The
Fragile" from nine inch nails).
    "There's just no way we can catch up to her!! She left too long ago!!"
screamed Jonny to Hadji.
    "Do not give up hope!! We will find her," Hadji shouted back.
    "LOOK!" Jonny cried, pointing in front of them where Jessie was speeding
along on a stolen Jet Ski. Her eyes were glowing red with anger as she saw
Jonny and Hadji behind her.
    "Those foolish mortals!!" Jessie cried. She put it into overdrive and
sped too fast for them to catch up.
    Just then Jessie looked foward just in time to see a huge water ski
jump. "Ahh!! Crap!!" she cried. She tried to dodge it, but she was thrown
into the water, and the Jet Ski sped on without her. It zoomed right into a
brick side wall and exploded.
    "Jonny, stop the boat and we'll get Jessie!" cried Hadji. Jonny stopped
the boat and jumped into the water.
    Jessie looked horrified as Jonny swam towards her. "You idiots!" Jessie
cried. She swam towards Jonny, and something lifted her up into the air. She
jumped on Jonny and pushed him under the water, letting him up every few
seconds for air.
    Hadji jumped into the water and held Jessie back. He swam her to shore
and threw her on the ground, pinning her.
    Jonny walked up to where Hadji had Jessie pinned and held up a stone.
"Look. I found this in the water. It's the ledgendary MoonStone. This may
cure Jessie."
    And they began to cure their possessed friend...

    "Good, Jonny, good," Hadji said slowly. "Keep healing, she will get
better shortly."
    "I'm not so sure..." replied Jonny. Then, right from Jessie's ears came
a ghost!!
    "Woah," Jonny said, his eyes wide. "Talk about ear wax."
    "That's not earwax, Jonny. That is a ghost." Hadji said angrily.
    "Oh."
    Then Jessie stood up, blinked and then looked around. "What the heck--?"
    "Jessie! RUN!!!" Jonny screamed as the ghost ran at Jessie with a knife.
    Jessie screamed and ducked. At that point boy was she ticked. "LOOK YOU
STUPID IDIOT!!! STOP MESSING AROUND WITH MY HEAD!!" she cried. She then ran
at the ghost, who had now taken solid form, and beatr the crap outta it with
a kitana. "You...stupid...sticker...hater!!!!!" she screamed. Finally after
a few minutes she stood up and walked away.
    "Baka baka baka!!" the ghost said laughing.
    "What?" Jonny asked.
    "I believe that is Japanese for "fool or idiot"," replied Jonny.
    "BOOYAH!!!!" it screamed and then danced the jig.
    "Who or WHAT is that?!" Jonny cried.
    "Janeba, Janeba, Janeba..." the character kept saying.
    "I think that's it name," Jonny said.
    Hadji and Jessie rolled their eyes and ran. Jonny caught up with them a
few minutes later.
    "WAAAAAAIIIIIITTTTTT UUUUUPPPPP!!!!!!" he screamed, then tripped on a
small log that was on the ground, conviently placed there by yours truely.
    Jessie turned around and laughed at Jonny, who was now covered with mud.
    "Foolish mortals!" Janeba cried. "Fool fool fool!"
    Jessie ran at Janeba, then began to beat him down.
    "OW!" Janeba cried. "YOU'RE ALL MEAN!!!!!!!!!" he screamed and then ran
off into the distance.
    Jonny, Jessie and Hadji stood there bewildered. "What on earth..."
    "Oh well. Let us go home and enjoy a nice dinner," Jonny said.
    Jessie raised an eyebrow. "I think YOU'VE been possessed by Janeba."
    "Ha ha, very funny."
    And the three of them walked off into the sunset, skipping merrily
alongproclaiming that they had two pickles.
