Winters Scarab
I made this bass from scratch.  The body is laminates of walnut/cherry/mahogany/poplar/cherry/walnut, from front to back.  The neck is maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple, thru the body.  The bridge and tuners are Schaller.  The pickups are DiMarzio P/J-set.  I designed the built in active 5 band  parametric EQ.

It's not real hard to make a bass, it's just time consuming.  You can't rush, and you must have some woodworking knowledge.  With the large amount of companies out there that supply parts, it is very easy to find anything you need to make a nice bass.  Whether you buy a pre-made neck and body like my
Frankencision or build one from scratch like this one, it is very rewarding.
