THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY,
Finally, Ive reached the time in my life, to slow down, and enjoy things round about me. To step back to `Nature`, go to where the air is fresh and clean and where neighbors still say `HOW-DEY`-- and `Y`ALL COME SEE US, YOU HEAR`?
SO, I Say Welcome! to Those who love the great out doors, Gods Beautiful Creations, and too all those who still sees beauty in our Magnificent and Marvelous World.
It was late in the summer that Miss Debbie (my sweet wife) and I decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Atlanta Georgia, to venture into the `Great Smokey Mountains" of North Carolina. We had spent many months searching out the northeastern mountains, trying to find a new home, where we could escape the `Big city` life. Just when we were about to give up, we came upon a peaceful little town, in a beautiful valley, with a river running through, and nestled between two great mountains. Truly, It can be considered as a `Stopping Place` on the way to Heaven.
I had forgotten, how it feels to step back in time, to my child-hood, but here was a place like the time gone by. The view is most beautiful. The sky filled with ever changing wonderment. If you dont like the weather, thats ok, it is constantly changing. The summer is filled with greenery, wild flowers, and trips down the rivers in rubber boats. While fishing is a fishermans paradise in the many streams and lakes.
Autumn is so special. Now comes the turning of the leaves with all the bright colors. There seems to be something blowing in the wind, high school football games, `flea markets`, yard sales, country `Singings` and music--at the many mountain `Fest`--All here in The Great Smoky Mountains. One will surely fall in love with the fall time of the year.
I guess the winter season is equally a wonderment. The holidays, snow, and `special events`. Oh, yes, come New Years, we dont watch the `Great Ball`(of New York) or the `Big Peach` (of Atlanta) fall, ringing in the year---OH, NO,!! we attend the `DROPPING OF THE OPOSSUM`. Now, `yousns` havent live till you see the `THE POSSIUM DROP`. It is said, that several hundred people turn out for this event. A lot of `Picking, and `Grinning` (music), Singing, and Dancing-- a good time be going on. Yah!!.
Then comes the spring; every thing green comes alive again. Wild flowers seem to spring out of nowhere. Fields turn the most beautiful green, while welcoming the many virility of songbirds in their returning. Time to put away winter clothes, do `spring` cleaning`, and plant the gardens. Plenty to do, but most enjoyable.
Once again, It is summer time with lazy days and warm nights, time in the sun, swimming, fishing, going to visit places, and all the many summer sports.
So with all that, once again let me bid you~
Thank you Rachel for all the hard work you put into creating these pages, and making it possible to present my writings, and by doing so, making them come "ALIVE".
~"Thank You" Paul, for believing in me~
