  • Had some of the greatest matches ever with Mitsuharu Misawa and Toshiaki Kawada while climbing the ladder.
  • Had a tag team with Jun Akiyama and faction called BURNING, also had many great battles with Akiyama.
  • Followed Mitsuharu Misawa in summer 2000 to form Pro-Wrestling NOAH.
  • Knee problems coming from using the Moonsault Press so much kept him out of wrestling for mostly all of 2001, and some of 2002. After many surgeries on his knees and elbow, he made a great comeback.
  • Is the leader of his BURNING group.
