The May series is held on Memorial day and, similar to well known sports venue in Chicago, is named in honor of those who served our country. A planned total of eight (8) races, with three (3) races on Saturday and Sunday and two (2) on Monday. One (1) throw out with five (5) or six (6) races and two (2) discards for seven (7) or more races.

The predecessor to the Star was the one-design class Bug. In that respect, the June series is called the bug series. A total of 5 races with three (3) on Saturday and two (2) on Sunday. One (1) throw out is allowed if all five (5) races are completed.

On the fourth of July weekend will be the Independence Series. Nine (9) races are scheduled if a three (3) day weekend, with three (3) races on the first two (2) days and two (2) races on the last day. If the weekend is only two (2) days, then a total of five (5) races with three (3) on Saturday and (2) on Sunday. One (1) throw out with five (5) or six (6) races and two (2) for seven (7) or more races. Additional race days can be added given approriate vacation schedules of fleet members.

This series will be held the last, open weekend in September. Five (5) races with one (1) discard if all races are sailed.
